Richest rugby clubs

Does anyone know which rugby clubs are the richest in the world?

has all sports clubs with a revenue above 20 million euros, which also includes some rugby clubs from
Australia and England, but how about South African clubs for example? I thought they'd be in the
same category.

SuperXV franchises only operate for half the year. They are just run alongside their local rugby organisation in Australia.

You will see NRL clubs on that list because they own bulk assets. They own their own bars/clubs and can operate all year round. Pokie Machines help them out a lot as well.

Site doesn't say which year that's for. I'm guessing it's a few years old, because there's no way Michael Schumacher makes that much money driving for Mercedes instead of Ferrari.

Unless he still just has that many endorsement deals, which I suppose is feasible.

I think I'm right in saying only Tigers and Saints make a profit, all other Aviva clubs lose money each season - so none of those (apart from possibly Tigers/Saints) would be anywhere near the top of a Richest Rugby Club list

I think you are spot on. Saints have pretty much been in profit every year for the last nine years. 2009 - 2010 they made about £500000, not hugh when you look at other sporting teams but a profit none the less. I am not sure of the the total worth or value but I think it to be in the region of 15 million.

It would help if the local council would let us sell some of the training pitches so we can expand the Gardens, but I think they are still stalling on the issue.
