Seriously one of the worst Ospreys performances I've ever seen. Dan Biggar, with all my heart, get the f**k out of my club.

Well that was certainly a dire match :( :( Some nice touches ruined by some idiotic ball handling. I couldn't see any rain at all, so why all the handling errors??

Also where did they get 5000 odd attendance from?? By watching the TV Coverage it looked more like 500 people.

Can't blame it on Tandy, the performance was all down to silly mistakes from individuals - Dan Biggars attempt to "banana" Kick the ball into touch a highlight of a frustrating night.

Looking like its going to be a busy summer of rehab for us; loads of players/staff out. The way things are atm, cant see many coming in to replace (gonna have to be from within - which i guess is good in one way). :( :( :( :(

Congrats to Glasgow though, physical performance from them!

I'm not certain whether to be pleased that Ospreys are now debatably catchable in the playoff race, or ****** off they gave Glasgow such a leg up.

This, although for different reasons obviously.

It was very generous of Ruaridh Jackson to be such a poor kicker and gift the Ospreys an undeserved losing bonus point

here is my view on the Ospreys wingers:

Hanno Dirksen - good individual try, makes mistakes but at least has some creativity and spark about him and looked the most likely to trouble the Glasgow defence, player of the month last month by the way

Eli Walker - seems a decent player, but he MUST start trying to start getting into games more like Dirksen does, too many you hardly notice he's playing and he's in the wrong team if he thinks he is going to get ball stuck out on the wing

My Ospreys wishlist for next season:

A new back
Ideally a back who can play 13, 15 and wing, I think we've needed a quality 13 for years (no disrespect to Bishop who is decent but has his limitations), an experienced overseas player I think would be perfect for the Ospreys as now next season there will be a lot of young backs and some experience would help them, I wish we could have signed a player like Jared Payne who is at Ulster

This is all realistically I think the Ospreys could sign for next season, but ideally ...

A new number 8
Joe Bearman looks a spent force and the Ospreys shouldn't have signed him in hindsight after his series of long term injuries over the past 18 months or so, George Stowers also doesn't contribute much, and Jonathan Thomas is not a player I want as first choice. Unfortunately though, with all three players on contract I doubt this will happen.

A new hooker
Doesn't have to be a big name, just a solid South African club player or something who can do the basics well and not ask for too much wages

Another new back
The backline seriously needs some more experience, and although I only realistically expect 1 perhaps to be signed there is room for more

@Cyril: thoughts?

Apparently Mr Ref was very harsh with all the yellow cards, and went on the fritz in the second half.

Balanced views or to be taken with a pinch of salt?

Beattie shouldn't have been yellowed, in fact he shouldn't even have been penalised.

I'd take a top-quality coach (I'm still after Wayne Smith) over all of them, but they'd be welcome, certainly. (Although the hooker's less of a priority) Perhaps a good, cheap winger such as Simpleikevic to cover the loss of Shane, Tommy & Walker as well as a class 13, although, as you point out, that'd be quite unrealistic.

Well it's the sam-old-same-old with us.

We've been in desperate need of front-row cover (especially for Adam) and a proper 13 for years. These issues were being flagged up on the Ospreys forum back in 2008 and still nothing has tangibly been done.

As soon as we a decent back-up at tight-head he shipped out and, although I haven't seen much of him, Aaron Jarvis is not going to be the answer either.

We brought Tom Isaacs in from the Dragons in an attempt to mould him from a scrum-half into a centre, but he looks dreadfully mediocre.

A decent hooker would be nice as you say. Any chance of Adriaan Strauss?? (Answer: No)

Bearman has been a waste of time and Stowers hasn't proved much better. Tipuric aside we look decidedly sparse in the back-row. I doubt Morgan Allen will ever make more than a decent Premiership player.

Our only options seem to be promotion through the ranks or scouring the ITM Cup, although the suggestion of bringing in little-known players from the 'smaller' rugbying nations in Europe sounds a wonderful idea - although won't be explored by the unimaginative coots in charge of the regions.
