Hollywood actor Russell Crowe finally got his man on Friday when the National Rugby League gave his South Sydney club the go-ahead to register Kangaroos centre Greg Inglis.

Crowe announced the prize capture from Melbourne Storm a month ago but the NRL initially refused to sanction the move because it put Souths above the salary cap.

The Rabbitohs broke the deadlock by off-loading Beau Champion to Melbourne and had Inglis' three-year deal sanctioned by the governing body.

"I'm glad this is all over and now I can concentrate on my football," said Inglis, who rejected a proposed move to Brisbane Broncos during the prolonged saga.
