BT didn't want the all french game in the prime time slot because viewing numbers will be toilet, but the French wanted it, so I guess the resolution to that is this mess and no one is happy

Yeah Quarter Finals weekend is as good as it gets really in (Champions Cups, World Cups etc)... 4 high quality games at the sharp end of the comp where all fans want to watch all games. You would’ve thought it would be written into the original TV contracts that all games would be played at different times to maximise the audience for each and every game.

As long as BT make a promise not to mention the French game at all during the Chiefs game (and vice versa) it'll be ok.

EPCR were supposed to be a step up on ERC in the running of the tournament. They've achieved smaller final attendences, rowed back on their goal to have no title sponsor and given Heineken the rights for less than the value they were paying previously and now there's the quarter final farce. They aren't fit for purpose.

Disorganised, biased, and without a trace of business acumen. They've added nothing bar a slightly more competitive pool stage which isn't worth the failings elsewhere.
