Well you can discount Wales for a start, if England aren't a top rugby nation then based on the results of the Autumn internationals Wales definitely aren't either!

Edit: basically the top five is:

1. NZ
2. Ireland
3.France
4. Scotland
5. Australia

Not quibbling with England's "status" (*snerk*) but at least get your nations in order first...[/b]
Wait wait wait, hold your horses there, Tiger. Scotland, and not Wales?
[/b][/quote]
And where are the world champions (just ... ahem .. beaten by Ireland and some other team)?

Well we're talking about teams who have acheived something this autumn.

And just what exactly did the world champs acheive this November? ;)

Those five spots are occupied by five teams who either have won more games than South Africa or have beaten South Africa head on.

They just got beaten by <strike>their Springbok 2nds</strike> Saracens, so don't deserve to be in the ranking at all. Anyone can beat them.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Prestwick @ Dec 4 2009, 01:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div>

2. Australia
3. Leicester
4. Northampton (19)
5. Saracens (3)

They ran Ireland close - God bless the plucky f***ers!

Sorry, I didn't see where you were coming from. And I hope that's a good start for Scootlund.

So did Australia. So close in fact it was a draw.

Still not quite seeing how South Africa fits into the top five...
