So here we go, round 3..........

Aurillac (16th) take on Montauban (5) ....with Aurillac on only one defensive bonus point (after really deserving to win at Biarritz) and then losing heavily to Pau, they will be hard pressed to beat a Montauban team that has won one home game (Carcassonne) and lost its away game at Dax. Aurillac to come close but not close enough!

Colomiers (9) take on Carcassonne (10) with the same record of one loss, one win and no bonus points in what has all the look of a draw although this is the first home game for Colomiers (after an away win at Mont-de-Marsan and an away defeat at USAP) which may count for something against Carcassonne who lost to Montauban away and beat Narbonne away.

Massy (15) face Albi (2), who have two losses/1 bonus point and two wins/1 bonus point respectively. Think that Albi will get through this one after their away win at Bourgoin and massacre of BO (although BO did assist there!!)

Dax (7) host Bourgoin (8) with one win one loss each and I will go for a Dax win.

Tarbes (12) are the first to host Perpignan (3) who have had two home wins and look too strong for a Tarbes team who lost at Beziers but beat Dax at home.

Bloody Opeless (11) after a very weak opening two weeks, resulting in a lucky home win and being well beaten away, host Mont de Marsan (6) who are 5 places but only a bonus point ahead of them. Injuries still seem to be the problem for BO but the word is that Nick De Luca is almost ready for his debut but probably not this week. As of Tuesday, according to the website, Broster, Buroto, Lund, Marienval, Goia, Lockley, Montanella, Van Der Walt and most importantly Waenga are all either long term injured or easing back into training which means that Ngwenya and Couet-Lannes should be ready for selection. This being a local derby (one of three this season with Pau and Dax also in the league and two other teams not that far away) anything could, of course, go on but without a fly half, little penetration as yet in the backs, and with the scrum in something of disarray, I cannot go for BO, never mind who is the opposition, until they demonstrate some form or semblance of it!

In another "derby" Narbonne (14) take on the shock team (well for Gaston anyway!!) Beziers (4). Narbonne have just a bonus point from a home and an away game against the two home wins for Beziers. It will be interesting to see how Beziers travel but they look good for an away win to keep up their momentum.

Finally, the top team Pau (1) with two wins and a bonus point, take on Agen (13) who lost at Beziers and home to Bourgoin. Cannot see past another convincing win for my favourites for straight promotion this year, Section Paloise!!

Rupeni Caucaunibuca makes his first appearance for Agen against Pau tomorrow and De Luca will play for Biarritz in the centre whilst they leave Boulogne, who failed last week at 10, as fl half and Baby at 15 with Davies, who played well at 15 the week before last, on the wing. With one game this evening these are the scores for Pro 2 3rd day..............one has to just point out that Bloody Opeless have managed to get their first win, coming from behind throughout the match until the 64th minute when two tries (Levi and Davies) were enough to take the win!!! Surprises, to me anyway, was the narrow defeat of USAP at Tarbes and the size of the win for Aurillac!!

Another good win (with BP) for Pau.................allez Paloise.......only sad thing is that Traille plays for them and feel he let BO down over the last couple of seasons but who is bitter.......
