Premiership Rugby 22/23 - Semi-Finals

Come on you saints!!!!!!

Heart says we can do it, head says we are going to get a spanking.

The amount of times Sarries have done a number on Saints. I'm all in on this is the one time we will pull a rabbit out the hat Of course we'll get shafted and next time it'll be the one time we could do it..... Rinse and repeat.

I still think Tigers will take this,
My guess is they'll be firmly on top at the setpiece, maul us to death, kick their goals - have us chasing the game, and then the frustration impacts our discipline. Despite the strong season I still don't think we've got that big game mindset in us yet.

Cobus missing is a massive blow at the set piece,
Schonert is only 50/50, and there's a big drop off behind him at tighthead
Dan du Preez is also 50/50, and while Jono has been playing very very well recently their carrying is incomparable

Away from the setpiece I think there's really exciting matchups all over the park - Curry vs Reffell, Carpenter vs Steward, Ford vs Pollard, DDP (hopefully) vs Wiese, JL-DP vs Martin, Warr/Raffi vs JvP/Youngs.
It's got the potential to be a very good game

For some reason I think sale will just smash tigers with their physicality and tiger will implode a little.

Might be wrong or wishful thinking.

I would be surprised if sale smash us physically

Tigers weak spot is the backs though

west
Montoya
Cole
Martin
Henderson
Liebenberg
Reffell
Wiese
Are pretty damn physical. Even v Leinster our pack didn't embarrass us so much as the backs.

Martin and Henderson have been game changers since pairing up together at lock. Martin especially. Honestly not sure where I would fit in Chessum if he was available maybe for Liebenberg at 6?

sale backs have more speed though, RdP at 13 will help tigers in terms of li ring up defensively but if James goes to 13 I think sale will have too much for us

Reckon you'll go for Steward on the wing and Brown at 15 to try and negate Ford's kicking?
Could see Ford trying to exploit the speed difference between Reed/O'Flaherty and Steward - though Brown's no mug, he'll help fill the gaps

Matt Scott is prob the key he's excellent allround 13 and is pretty decent at reading the game defensively and covering ground v Rdp honestly he shouldn't have to worry about keeping him locked up and can focus on giving steward a bit more support

For some reason I thought a few of those were injured. That's a meaty pack right there!!!

Honestly best we could field pretty much harsh on brown but guessing we don't want to risk the pace factor, Potter is good in the air TBF

Like it a lot,
I'd still start SJ, and if DDP/ToF were 100% they'd both start, but still a very strong side

What does N stand for?
Born/raised in da Norf
They started doing it when the RFU wouldn't fund the Sale women's team to basically say look how many players are from here and you're ignoring it

Pretty arbitrary criteria as Ashman was born in Canada (but moved to the North as a baby) and Ford born in the North but started his rugby at Leicester so it's not really by birth or by academy

Why is your website team so different?
