Premiership 24/25 - Round 13

Our 10s in my best guess order
Smith ( international rest)
Furbank ( injury)
Makepeace Cubitt (injury)
Savala (injury)
has played Hutchinson(injury)
Academy not sure.
So James at 10 rest of players good enough to make a game of it but we are not a French team where a 9 and 10 can be interchangeable that is with no disprect to Tom James.
Expect a big defeat unless Sale kick to us poorly and Ramm, Freeman and Hendy produce some magic.

Bristol over Gloucester. I hope I'm wrong because Gloucester is currently even with Harlequins at 36 points.

Savala hasn't been a particularly good signing, has he ?

Nope. While we've made some gems, we've also signed a lot of 'bin juice' these past 3 years. Need to get a few big names in the forwards and academy for the backs.

Apparently Courtney Something Or Other has been tearing it up in France, winning a couple of Player of The Month awards. Blindside flanker able to cover lock.

Never heard of him myself, but might be worth a look?

IIRC, he's mostly played in midfield rather than at 10 which is odd too.

Yes but is really a centre and not a 10 from the games I've seen him. When he came over it was a 10 who plays centre but he was crap at 10 and played ok at 12.

Pleasing that Coka is back so soon - wasn't expecting him just yet.
Is that 2 LHPs on the bench for Quins?

I mean van Wyk is not brilliant, but you'd still expect him to have a significant advantage over a guy playing out of position.

Evans will be a big miss too although Lawday usually plays very well for us.

Bath bench is interesting. No locks, two opensides and an 8. Presumably Ted Hill is covering lock and/or Ewels and Moloney are both expected to play the full 80.

They're probably* both expected to last the full 80, hit a LOT of rucks, but have no real requirements beyond that and the set piece.
Hill will cover if there's an early injury, Coetzee a late one.

*Typically, Roux comes off at 60', but A] he's older, and B] that's during the grind, not straight after a long rest with further planned rests.

Quins really need to follow-up last week's win. I don't really see that happening though.

I hate how big of a game this is for Chiefs, win this and we are on 20 points, lose and Falcons right behind us in the table. Essentially an 8 to 10 point swing for the bottom dwellers.

One positive for our season is we have 8 BPs to Falcons 1 BP, so a 5 point win would give us a nice cushion but I'm nervous about this one tbh
Don't worry pal ...we ain't winning this one.
