Pre-Season 22/23

Yikes, not even two intentional knockons or anything

Sounds like we're playing like **** and losing the forwards battle, which is a concern considering how close this is to a first choice side vs Connachts players they left behind from their trip to France

Ehhh it's preseason.
Tigers lost to scarlets last preseason and looked like crap

No one fully plays in these games

Yeah that's true,
I got caught in a two hour traffic jam on the way home so didn't get the stream but people that did say we look as clueless on attack as ever, so that's... comforting. Bit of continuity

15-5 FT

Bath's pre-season against Coventry didn't really tell us anything much.
Rookie front row with hybrid locks struggled against a gnarled Championship pack in the first half, whilst our (as near as possible) first choice front row with specialist locks behind them got on top of a tiring Cov pack in the 2nd half.

Wow, who'd have guessed that?

"United" to Chippenham, to play LIrish

Basically the entire club staff have gone to Jersey for the week for team bonding; with the 35 for LIrish the only ones leaving camp in that time.

Sam Mercer any relation of Zach, or just a coincidence?
Great to see Redpath back

Said it a bunch of times last season but when Bath do eventually find their mojo again they're going to be a force, it's a really solid squad they've got there - only question mark for me is at 10
Francis is, realistically, a distributing centre - basically an Olly Barkley - can fill in at 10 but not really a prem starter there, and with Ojomoh/Redpath already causing headaches in selection at 12 you've gotta imagine Francis will be used almost exclusively at 10
Bailey improved a lot last season, despite Baths general malaise, he'll be some player one day but not sure if it's too soon for him to be a first choice starter. Got all the right skills, just some wrinkles to iron out with experience

Coincidence.
Pretty sure he played last week too.

Agreed; last season was about self belief, and co-ordination as a team. We played as a bunch of individuals, whose heads then dropped as everything went against us - but even then, we showed flashes of what we can do - mostly when Nathan Hughes provided some individual inspiration.
Francis was signed as a FH - despite not being one, I expect him to mostly play 22, but we'll see, as even that puts pressure by only allowing one of the youngsters to be selected each week.
I'd rather he was 2nd choice FH, benching for a seasoned pro, getting plenty of game time at FH and odd bits here and there at IC and FB, started about a third of our matches at FH. But it is what it is, I'm not too worried about him though. My worry is that he's the only actual FH in the squad, so we're screwed if he goes down injured - Francis is fine for a game or two (assuming he can stay fit for 160 minutes), but I'm really not happy with him as our second choice FH.

TV commentators will be drawing lots to be elsewhere when that number 7 starts playing for the 1st XV.

Is Josh Hodge unavailable?
Dont know just says a few injuries

"By having that internal game and the two games on Friday, it means that come Monday next week we will have a very strong group of players ready to prepare for Leicester," continued Baxter. "Yes, we've got one or two injuries and a few more unavailable at the moment, but by and large the group looks strong and we'll be ready for the challenge."

What's the likely Exeter team for the Tigers game?
Not that strong of a team if them 2 teams are anything to go by. Hoping all players havnt been used. Notable non international rest players missing like Ewers Kirsten Vermeulen Simmonds so really not sure who's actually available, know Slade's aiming for start of the season but no idea how he's doing.
