Pool 4 (Castres, Leinster, Montpellier, Northampton)

JVDF MOTM for me.

Leinster will there at the sharp end of the tournament.

People on the saints forum still defending Mallinder. I really can't believe it.

Sack the coaches and get rid of at least half the squad.

As much as I'd like to tell you that we're tge greatest team ever and leave it at that I have to add that Mallinder must go, tge fact our 4th choice 10 just dicked on Stephen Myler is example enough!

I wonder if this will lead to a daddy issue as with ford last year and possibly farrell...

I mean......that's probably the least impressive bit of yesterday's game :p

I know, my point is that Mallinder has failed to replace a guy who makes everyone around him worse in 5 years on the job!

I think we'll see Byrne in Connacht before too long because he's too good a talent to be sitting behind Carbery and Sexton.

As for the game it is hard to judge, definitely our best performance this season but the opposition was weak. Gibson-Park is our best 9 and Adam Byrne has come good at the perfect time. This team could reach a final with a bit of luck/avoiding a trip to London to face Sarries.

Wasn't convinced by Byrne. Not sure he'll make it.

I agree on JGP. I think by the end of the season he'll have forced his way in.

It was a scratchy performance from Leinster I thought. Never got out of second gear and only really had 15 minutes of resistance to deal with.

Cronin out, Sexton and R Kearney in for the weekend, want to see this team which I robbed off a poster on the Leinster fan forum.

sorry about the size do not know what happend there !!!

Big test for Leinster wings. Great to see Montpellier will be going to give their all

This will be a class game, the amount of ball carriers is outrageous. Sexton to provide the winning edge!

Very good Montpellier team, but if Leinster can't deliver the goods at home, we can put this champions elect thing to bed for sure. Still think Leinster will have enough though if Sexton kicks well.

Wow just read there'll be a 40kg weight difference on wing.

This will be great test for guys like Conan and Leavy too.
Tracy will be watched close too. Serious battle for Irish sub spot if Cronin absent. His darts are questionable but it helps to have Toner

Apparently O' Brien should be good to go against Castres next week, which would suggest its just a ****le. Seems a new departure has been reached in dealing with Sexton and O'Brien. Before now, they were rushed back and ****ed into every game whether they were fully fit or not. Now they're being wrapped in cotton wool. Interesting to see if it helps them avoid the serious injuries. On current form Conan won't be letting the side down so thats helpful.

Great test for the young wings and the scrum. Fair play to Cullen btw. Kearney not being thrown back in immediately ahead of Byrne and ROL is a big vote of confidence heading into such an important game.

11 points on the handicap in favour of Leinster with the bookmakers. I think the margin should be tighter but i'd be surprised if home advantage isn't telling. Montpellier not proven on the road. Leinster by 6.

Montpellier have won three Top14 matches away from home - Grenoble and Bayonne (the bottom two teams) and more significantly, Bordeaux, whose home form has been good.
Leinster by at least 15.
