Perpignan v Munster

Well i really didn't see that coming, if anything i expected it to be a similar scoreline, but the sides reversed =/

Congrats to Munster though, good win for them
And Congrats to JdV for actually doing something this season :p

Galthié was commentating on french tv and said many times that he didn't understand why JDV wasn't given more game time. I hope we see more of him, he has been superb today with very little time to prove his point.

Very logical win by Munster, congrats to them, they came here with real ambition, probably more than Perpignan were expecting. Then classical french team shitinpants strategy when they realized it wasn't gonna be easy. The problem? They should have lost with a much bigger margin last week, this way they would have had more respect for Munster and wouldn't have played such inefficient champagne rugby during 80 minutes.

I blame the Perpignan coach a lot too, Durand, Freshwater and Porical should have started. With Porical it would have been 15 - 9 to Perpignan at half time, and the match would have been totally different.

Not taking anything away from Munster here, they were absolutely clinical in their own style of play, which is ugly only for people who don't understand how 16 turnovers against Perpignan in Perpignan is f***ing manifiscent.

Perpignan deserved better for a European campaign, when they won the Top 14 last year they played 10 times better than today. My guess is they are really focusing on the Top 14 this year, and weren't concentrated at all and made very dubious coaching, hence today's awful display and the defeat to Treviso.

Philip Burger needs a smack. He had a big ego/team-work/sportsmanship/talent problem today. He threw away 2 tries with crap passes and blamed the man he passed to on both occasions.

Do they know it's Christmas time and oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

George Hook said last night after the showing of the Leinster Highlights that he'd eat his tie if Munster won today. Tune in at half 8 on RTE Network 2 for some good hat eating.

Shut your mouth-hole with any ref bias. He seemed to go through patches of being totally biased to one side and then switching to the other which was very annoying. But at least it balanced.

After last week I was far less concerned about Perpiginan. They looked dangerous when Munster were kicking loosely in the first half but when Munster switched back to the more territorial like game I felt safe.

Backs played well enough for most of the match but suddenly played very well when a certain poorly groomed man left the field and on game a man with lovely blonde hair....hmmmm. Will Mafi finally be dropped? I love Denis Hurley, nice finish and he chases down EVERYTHING. Such a hard working player.

O'Connell was imense, Leamy's best game since he's come back from injury at the end of last season. But my man of the match has to be Wally. I'd love to see his tackle count and how many of those 18 turnovers were him. He was playing like Richie McCaw, just tackle and then ripping. Brilliant.

I just hope Perpiginan don't rollover in Franklin Gardens and hand over a Bonus point to Northampton. We could have a best runner-up in this group yet. (which I'd love because Northampton are by far my favourite England based team).

Munster, i love the way you continually make an arse out of Hook. Well, more of an arse.
