This reminds me of something that happened when I was in Leicester in uni. Flatmate of mine stepped in to help a guy that was being kicked on the ground by 5 or 6 guys, he was 6'3" ex amateur boxer, obviously they all started on him instead. Took one guy out quite quickly, ben then the rest just started grabbing his hair (he had a huge afro) and pulled him to the ground to kick the **** into him. Bloody scrum. He said that as soon as they started fighting dirty, he just started upper cutting them all in their balls. He took a bit of a beating, but had 3 or 4 on the ground before the other 2 or 3 ran off. I wasn't there, but he returned in a bit of a state.

My auld lad did the same thing , One of his mates who was about 18 at the time was taking a kicking on the floor by and older guy , Noddy would have been basically the same person as your mate 6'3 and a whopper afro ..however as there was only one **** involved it fared a tad better for him hit the guy one punch and destroyed the guys eye socket and his own hand in the process ..key difference is the guy never set foot on the pitch again ..

Back in the older days there were locals who would put yobs like that back in their place ..now you thump a guy causing trouble and you face a day in court and a claim

Yeah, thought as much when I first heard the headlines. He gets a fair bit of interview time and was on the Lions Tour DVD a good lot. Seemed like a bit of a *** sometimes but not someone who'd go starting fights.


What I don't get is where the fock Payne was?

If he is set to be sacked, then he must have had a bigger role than thought.
Shame, as he has been doing pretty decently for the Wasps. Still nowhere near the Welsh squad.

Bouncers pretty much NEVER get involved in that sort of thing. If they hit a guy, especially a scummy guy, they're a sitting target so long as they stay in the jon and they're easy to identify so they could end up get sued.

They're more for looking impressive and kicking drunk people out that trying to stop five guys from beating up one guy.
