I guess with the dominance as it is there isn’t too much danger of any team being under cooked or over cooked advantage pools look to me a much and a muchness, what do the power houses depths look like I heard England could potentially have issues at FH, whilst not her primary position doesn’t Scarret have a fair amount of experience and could do a descent job, could be imagining it but thought Sing had played there at some point in the WC cycle.

France Italy later is likely the closest we'll get to seeing an upset this world cup.
Italy have never beaten France, but are a good team.
I guess USA could ask questions of Aus, but... that should be questions, not winning.
Mind, you could also say that Scotland being so comfortable against Wales counts as an upset - but only that the margin is looking to be big.

Pretty sure Italy have beaten France before, and they often seem to up their game against them.
Also France rely on Bourdon Sansus a lot and she’s unavailable tonight, France are still favourites but an Italy win definitely seems possible.

I was about to say how impressed I was with Fiji for keeping Canada out. I'd been expecting an 80 point hammering.

Give England or New Zealand (and probably France) this much territory and possession, against the worst team in their group - and they're hunting a century.
Of course, it's first weekend, and Canada have plenty of time to improve, and Fiji have plenty to get knackered and fade, but still.

Oof, on that maul, you could pretty much hear the Fiji chorus of "I don't wanna do this any more"
Difficult to know which of the two options it is but Canada have played considerably more matches recently than the European sides so they shouldn’t need to be growing into the tournament.
