The Aironi team will be:
15 Danwel Demas; (from centre to full back)
14 Giulio Toniolatti,
13 Gilberto Pavan,
12 Gabriel Pizarro,
11 Giulio Rubini;
10 Riccardo Bocchino,
9 Michael Wilson;
1 Salvatore Perugini,
2 Luigi Ferraro,
3 Luca Redolfini;
4 Marco Bortolami,
5 Quintin Geldenhuys (cap);
6 Andrea Benatti,
7 Josh Sole,
8 Gareth Krause.
Panchina: 16 Leonardo Ulises Gamboa, 17 Fabio Ongaro, 18 Alberto De Marchi, 19 Joshua Furno, 20 Nicola Cattina, 21 Pablo Canavosio, 22 Julien Laharrague, 23 Alberto Benettin.
A weekend "di riposo" for several first choice players, leaving a mainly (13/15ths ) Italian line-up.
This includes a new half-back pairing of Wilson (yes, Italian!) and Bocchino. I'm hoping they won't lose the thread as they did after 30 minutes against the Scarlets. Treviso this year have only signed a handful of new players and so are very much more a "team" then Aironi at the moment, who have basically a new team who are still getting to know each other. Interesting to read that Phillips said that Aironi at this moment are like the Ospreys 8 years ago. I hope they can bridege the gap quickly!!!
