A weekend "di riposo" for several first choice players, leaving a mainly (13/15ths ) Italian line-up.
This includes a new half-back pairing of Wilson (yes, Italian!) and Bocchino. I'm hoping they won't lose the thread as they did after 30 minutes against the Scarlets. Treviso this year have only signed a handful of new players and so are very much more a "team" then Aironi at the moment, who have basically a new team who are still getting to know each other. Interesting to read that Phillips said that Aironi at this moment are like the Ospreys 8 years ago. I hope they can bridege the gap quickly!!!

Though I'd really love to see Aironi do well, i can't see anything other than a comprehensive Ospreys win,
15pts + to the 'spreys

Interesting that they'd rest players when they could be building momentum, but I guess they have the Heineken cup matches on their minds and want some rest before they put their heads down ahead of that.

I fear another drubbing, however I'm trying to be optimistic and it's good to see Bortolami starting and maybe the half -backs will want to prove a point or two (or even get a point or two!). I was also reading in the local press (La Gazzetta di Mantova) that Ospreys too have a number of injuries. (And I AM a new boy - at least in this forum, despite my beard!)

If anyone wants any info on the Viadana part of Italy just mail me on [email protected]
A good weekend to all.

Ospreys: Lee Byrne; Richard Fussell, Tommy Bowe, Andrew Bishop, Shane Williams; Dan Biggar, Jamie Nutbrown; Paul James, Richard Hibbard, Adam Jones, Ian Gough, Alun Wyn Jones (capt), Jerry Collins, Ben Lewis, Jonathan Thomas.
Replacements: Huw Bennett, Ryan Bevington, Craig Mitchell, Ryan Jones, Justin Tipuric, Mike Phillips, Gareth Owen, Nikki Walker.

Glad Fussell is starting- Walker was put under preassure last week and crumbled. Fussell came on and scored a try. Big difference there. Richard Hibbard, Adam and Ben Lewis get their first starts, while Ryan Jones and Mike Philips are on the bench. Good to see a full-strength side back pre-Heinkein Cup. Should be interesting to see how Lewis goes. One grumble: I would have started Webb, as he looked a big improvement on Nutbrown when he came on.

Shut up you noob :mad::p:lol:

Speaking of which, I'm sure I've made over 250-odd posts. Have they been restarted recently or something?

Rhys Webb is ******* useless! The sooner he fucks off the better!!!!!

He can have the odd good game, but in general you're right Cyril. Why oh why did the O's get rid of Liam Davies, looked much better than Webb and Nutbrown put together!

The O's have missed Phillips big time imo as Nutbrown, whilst having one or two decent games at the start of this season is generally sh*t!

Poor Ben Lewis. Get's his first start of the season, but lasts just 20mins. Looks like a neck injury, hope it isn't serious and he's back soon, because he's had an injury plagued couple of years. Another promising youngster coming on in Tipurik.

I think Tipuric has had a really good game. Bloody boring match though.

Ospreys were poor, as Charvis would say 'Lacked Composure'!

Boring as hell. Ospreys unable to put many phases together because every other pass was foreward! Jon Thomas was one of the best players I thought, although Adam destroyed their scrum. Tipuric showed up very well though. Fussell was the standout back imo, was everywhere. Shane tried hard, but struggled to find much space. Bishop was also excellent I thought, one of the only ones willing to do the hard stuff before the fancy.

5 tries and a bonus point is all that's needed I suppose, but gotta improve big time in time for the HC though.

I could probably write the script for our next 2 weeks right now.

Attitude problems, apparently. He always looked like an idiot to me.

Fussell was too greedy, I thought. Tipuric was excellent, though. Bishop was quite impresive- he popped up far more in attack than usual. I agree it was boring, but I'd assume it'd make an alright highlights reel.
