[November Tests 2016 EOYT] Ireland vs. Australia (26/11/2016)

If Ireland can win this with Carbery at 15 and Marmion on the wing I think it'd be a bigger achievement than beating NZ in Chicago. Oz should by rights be putting up a cricket score. So ballsey of Ireland not to kick points.

Tadgh Furlong having his best game ever for Ireland or Leinster I'd argue.
POM and Dillane have really made presence known

What a joke.
Ref has ruined this game.
Hips didn't go over horizontal and he didn't land badly.

POM your back you beauty.

How did VDF get MOTM. Furlong was on a different planet.

And so Australia's dreams of another Grand Slam come to an end.

Outstanding! Ireland should be gunning to get to third in the world and competing for the 6N in 2017. Not bad ambitions to have. Loads of high quality depth.

Just got up and turned this on and accidentally caught the full score - bummer.

I suspected Ireland would be too good for this Wallaby side after seeing how much better they competed with the All Blacks, and there's only so many get out of jail cards a side can get week after week. Am guessing we're in for more of the same against England next week too.

Well done Ireland - will have to watch the game in full later.

Cracking win considering the position they were in. Furlong my motm

Hell of a win!

He was mine, lad was everywhere!!

Who VDF or Furlong?
No doubt VDF did well. I thought him and Stander really were superb. I though POM brought a bit of leadership too when needed but for me Furlong was class act all over.

Excellent first half for Ireland followed by a gutsy second half. Ireland got their act together with 15 minutes to go.

Agree with Makos that Ireland's backline isn't particularly threatening. The pack supply them with a brilliant platform. More of a spark in midfield and this becomes a top class team.

Think a Henshaw Ringrose partnership will give that. Equally in time think Scannell and Olding will equally give that. But the foundation is there.
