NH Rugby Transfers

There seem to be growing rumours that Leeds Rhinos centre Chev Walker is coming to Bath, turning down the chance to play in the NRL, so says theage.com.au, Radio NZ and Fox Sports Australia.

Although they all seem to have been written by the same guy and we haven't actually got a coach to sign any players right now...

McCallister is only 22 though, and has an All Black future in front of him, probably at 12.

He may have thought that this won't happen for the next RWC and that in the mid time he will get more playing time as FH if he joins Biarritz.

luke mcallister to biarritz
:bravo:

Utterly bizarre if it's true.
Why would it be bizarre? Peyrelongue the current BO FH is not a top talent as obvious in the HEC final and anyway the BO need to double this position. [/b]
He's young and still has a shot at the ABs. Most players who move up so young know they'll never make it as a stalwart of their country. Pyrelongue is pretty bad though.

Very strange thing to happen 15 months before a World Cup for a guy who has just broken into the team. Is his contract with NZRFU up for renewal soon? It could just be an agent trying to put the squeeze on.

Expect to see Ripper hung from a tree using a Blues jersey very soon if that transfer goes through.

Hills going overseas... and the fact that he's ****, he's the 4th best Fly Half in NZ, I would rather Carter, McAlister and Evans ahead of him, and personally Gopperth as well.

And If McAlister goes overseas, it will be because he has a wife and a kid he needs to support.

But It will be in his best interests to stay... or else I'll bludgeon him to death with Tasea Laveas arm. Can't find any information on Google, my bullshit senses are tingling.

Hanging yourself is so last year. Drowning in David Nuciforas pool with signs of foul play is where its at.

I somehow doubt mcAlister would be going anywhere fast. I am also pretty sure he has a contract through to 2008 with the nzrfu.

Cardiff Blues have signed former New Zealand full-back Ben Blair, as well as Scott Morgan and Mosese Luveitasau.

These seem to be some good signings.

Morgan adds to a weakened second row for Cardiff, while Blair will fill a gap in the Back three left either by Lomu or C.Morgan. Same for the Fijian, who has won 6 caps, the last being against Wales.

Cardiff seem to have a lot of money to throw about. Can't remember if it's been covered, but they've also signed Tongan prop 'Fao Filise, who played last season at Bath. Excellent player in the loose, but scrummaging needs a bit more discipline.

Kees Meeuws should play for the Harlequins next year. He had a deceiving year with Castres this year. His performances were very variable. apparently he didn't manage to establish a good relation with Laurent Seigne the Castre coach.

Eventually Kees Meuws has decided to stay in France and will play for Agen, Caucaunibuca's club.
