NFL Thread

This playoff series has been 1 of best so far in history. Except for the Texans game obviously.

If only that Bronco's D could have an 'able to pass more than 7yds without breaking something' no.18. Still looking forward to it tomorrow though.

Would love to see Peyton bow out on a high but it's hard to see past Panthers. Cam Newton just seems to have it all.

Newton just seems to be a 'next generation' player. It's like he's playing a different game to everyone else.
If any D can stop him it's the Broncos' D though.
Would love to see 18 bow out with a ring.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see the Bronco's pull it out. The Panthers are an incredibly good team, but the offense relies a great deal on Cam, and Cam gets flustered. Many of Peyton's losing performances in the playoffs were a case of him trying to take too much on himself and then making mistakes. I think we will see Cam do that, except of course with him he will try running when he shouldn't and then fumble. Another Camtastic play is when he should take a sack and just floats one out there into a defender's hands. With Peyton now, he knows better. He knows he has to let his team pull through for him, and I think that will be the difference.

I agree. I put the Broncos as slight favourites for the bowl. You've got two of the best defences in the league up against each other, and whilst Cam is more dynamic than Manning, I think the experience may pay off.
That Broncos D is up there with the so called 'legion of boom', but whilst they may not be quite as strong in the deep, they've got more strength vs the run etc.
Also, in future seasons, whilst I think Cam is a future hall of famer, I fear he may take one too many 'leaps' over the pile and get hit back into the era he's actually playing in.
Going to be a great bowl though, and looking forward to it more than any recent ones.

Anyone staying up for SB 50 tonight?

Planning on going to bed after the Ireland game maybe an hour after. With the aim of waking up about half an hour before get my Nacho cheese ,Pizza and Hot dogs ready.

Got some American Ale (slightly worried about that) and some Sam Adams.

Also have a tea before hand.

Hate how it is on a Sunday/Monday morning have to wake up for work @7ish.

I'm going to try.

Looking forward to it as I've followed NFL more this season than usual, and Im not in at work untill 2pm tomorrow, but I've got a stinking cold so might crash at some point before then.

Kickoff is at 11.30, so is that like a 3am finish?

You poor things :-(

If the NFL is serious about a European audience, they should consider playing on Saturday... And I guess compete with the Premiership and other football leagues?

Saturday would make far more sense for international audiences, no UK based sport is on that late - I would've thought it'd make more sense for American audiences as well (can booze all day without worrying about work the next day).

Yeh I don't get that?

If my team won I would want to be able to get ****faced if I wanted without having to worry about Monday work.

Now to decide sky sports or BBC

Get the feeling that BBC will be treating it for more casual/first time viewers.

But no adverts.

Not in college tomorrow so I'll see how much of this I can get through. Up for the Panthers solely because I'd like to see a new team win it and don't particularly like the Broncos although Manning definitely wins the favourite QB battle for me. Newton comes across as unecessarily combative in interviews when faced with mundane questions but he's some athlete regardless. I think people expecting a drubbing from the Panthers could be in for a shock. I think they won't run away with it against a cool head like Manning, who at te very least would be capable of mounting a comeback.
Honestly doubt the half time show will live up to the hilarity of left shark this year.

I'm going for BBC solely because I don't have Sky and I imagine the streams on Mobdro will be choppy/being shut down quite a lot.

Mark Chapman.

Rooting Panthers as Kuechly is my favorite defensive player (behind Watt obvs).

Also have Leicester Panther football team which Martin Johnson played for.

Although would like for Manning to win.
