New Xbox 360 console....

Not sure if any of you guys have heard of this, but Microsoft are releasing a new Xbox 360 console called, 'Xbox 360 Elite'. Before you get too excited, it's just an a update on the Premium console. The new features are as follows;

* Black with Chrome trim colour scheme, as well as all the accessories
* It will have 120GB hard drive, instead of the Premium's 20GB
* HDMI Port & HDMI Cable to enable users to achieve full 1080P HD display

According to gamespot site, It will be released April 29, 2007 (U.S.). Other regions are unconfirmed yet. The U.S version will retail at $479.99, which work out around £339.99. Going by UK pricing, it'll probably be £399.99.

f***ing sweet. I was going to go and get a new 360 on Wednesday (along with a nice new hi-def LCD tv).. Will wait a month or two now until it comes out here..

Reading through the Q&A, Microsoft will release the hard drive separately. The current price of a standard 20gb is around £64.99. The 120gb hard drive will be around £120. Spend £29.99 & you can get a Datel Xsata. Basically you use this to transfer your Xbox 360 content (porn) to your PC's hard drive. If you want to know a bit more about the Xsata go here.

The Only way the 120GB drive becomes an advantage is if you are storing a lot of HD video on there, where as I would just stream it across from my pc/laptop...

I would of liked to have seen the option for built in wireless tho...
