New era, Newcastle Red Bulls

For all sorts of reasons it’s great that Falcons (as were) will continue.

But whether big business coming in and fully owning clubs is really a good thing is another matter entirely.

Today we pop the champagne corks. The ride, and its implications for Newcastle and others, might be an interesting one.

Is the rumour true that Dimes is going to do a fly past over the Tyne Bridge in a wing suit to celebrate?

Jumping into Kingston Park from space

Was much better than the Saudi rumours

Red bull know how to treat and run sports teams, also like to build them instead of buying overpriced players
However they absolutely hated in Germany and Austria by anyone who is not a fan of their football teams - which is most as Salzburg lost a lot of original fans and Leipzig never had any.

Leipzig average about 45k per game don't they? Stadium holds about 47k i think.

Love to see how they would do if they have fans.

My sons supports Stuttgart, he dislikes every other Budesliga team.

I'll be surprised if Red Bull don't put their own people in at most levels there- their take overs are usually pretty comprehensive. Keep Dimes and the coaching staff, and clean sweep the rest.

Reckon a lot of the money for the next two/three years will be towards staff and facilities
Then once that is all nailed and the foundations for the future is tight they will prob start spending up to the wedge. If for whatever reason Red bull pulls out in like 3 years they can still have a really tight foundation to keep going.

I just can't see diamond wanting to rush it like what happened with Worcester.

Honestly I don't see any of their current coaching staff staying, getting in a top coach with his coaches will be the a main thing.

That's the red bull way too - infrastructure, academy and data based signings.

Yeah 100%.

The stadium has two great stands, and just need to develop the other two to match it. Then you need the club training facilities, and the academy facilities updated. Like the Tigers we're very proud of our homegrown lads playing in the side so its a big part of what the fans want.

If new ownership with a name change keeps Newcastle in business then I'm all for it. 🏉 I'd hate to see another Premiership Rugby team go under.
