New DLC for Rugby Union Team Manager 2018

I have suggested some of these a few years ago. I guess it is too complicated to merge the Franchises that play Super Rugby and the Currie Cup. It is complex as not all the Currie Cup teams play SR. Maybe they could treat the Pro 14, Anglo Welsh (which is reportedly adding two new SA Franchises - the Pumas & the Griquas) and SR as "continental cups" and the Currie Cup as the main domestic cup?

I am sure they have other priorities though. Maybe they feel they can sell more games in France and the UK? Presumably Facebook click stats are broken down by country, and Saffers don't go on their Facebook page all that much?

I think while playing RUTM2017 you should have the option to kick at goal from longer distances, same with drop goal
The success if the kick depends on the kicking attributes of the kicker
You should also be able to choose your kicker that takes the kick off and goal kicks

I am looking to create a few players that are missing from the db, mainly academy players for one or two clubs. I know how to edit, say an academy player and then promote them to the first team squad, but would also like to add a photo to these players and do not know how to do so, could someone help me?

Hi Pleased to hear that you are really getting into the game, and are creating players etc. Sorry but due to the game's licensing, it is not possible to add actual player imagery to the game, although you can of course add and created players, other than that.

Thanks for reply but the boxes at bottom only appear when ad-lib attacking is ticked and I would like to know how to use them, i.e. set up moves etc.

Hi,
The boxes at the top are tick boxes for choosing your defensive line setting.

The boxes at the bottom, are as you rightfully suggest, move button for an
ad-lib attack. Right click these buttons to display the diagram of the move,
left click to add the move to the move queue at the top.

I know it is against the licensing rules of the game, but I have actually found the photographs of the players in my section of photos from the game, in the directory.

For example, going through the photos section of the game on my harddrive, I notice that photos are there of Jon Welsh, Simon Uzokwe and others from Newcastle Falcons, who are not on the game, and have added them through changing the names and stats of a few of the academy players, but do not know how to add photos to them, is this possible to do?

Or could one of the mods do this?

Hi Tom,
Right clicking is only used to cancel a positional selection in Main Squad, Academy and Colts; and to display a match move in match by right clicking a match move button at the bottom of the screen.
No doubt some of the game's fans may wish to share some of their tips with you.

1. Is there a way to stop the stats of props dropping? I had a few start on the high 50s and by January they have gone down to the low 40s, I have dev potential coaches for both loosehead and tighthead, a forwards coach, a set piece coach and a defence coach, all at 5 stars.

2. How do I improve the stats of my Locks, which very rarely go up? They all have potential over 30, with some even in the 60s, yet still show little sign of improvement? Again, I have dev potential coaches for the position and the above coaches in place.

3. Will having two coaches for one specialisation, i.e, two forwards coaches, be a determent or a benefit to player development?

Training is all about setting the rota, then checking out the previous screen, Training Overview, and seeing what the effects on the player attributes are going to be.
By setting different sessions in the rota, you can hone the attribute effects for the given coaches you have.

So if you want to improve Locks, make sure that Lock type attributes, Line Out, Muscle Mass, Power etc. are all receiving a good amount of training quality. You can also see the effected attributes in the Training Rota screen in the Effected Attributes per Session box when a session is selected.

You are correct in that the player's Potential has a huge impact on his development.

Developing Potential coaches work differently to RUTM 2015. They give player's Potential a slight boost, during Tactical Directions sessions, and don't effect the rate of improvement directly.

The positional expertise of a coach will not effect their rate of improvement, this is only used to retrain a player's primary and secondary positions.

Yes, having multiple coaches for a given specialisation will make effects stack, so it will be beneficial to player development in that particular area.

Thanks for the response. Just to make sure I understand correctly,for example, if I have two or more say, forwards, set piece and defence coaches, then the attributes of the forwards will go up more than if I just had one of each coach?
