Personally I'd go with just a national flag on the profiles. This will cover nationality/allegiences nicely enough. For me I'd say the national team emblems aren't really required.
If I was going to be supper picky I'd ask for England, Scotland, Wales and UK flags plus some pretentious, overly wordy, faux profound red flags for the liverpool fans to get all excited about
