Nathan Hines signs for Leinster

I wonder how many more Post-Lions tour siignings there'll be. And it is a great sigining. Leinster are looking more and more dangerous going into next year.

Sweet. I suppose thats the problem of filling Big Mal's gap taken care of. Suppose its a bit of a kick in the crotch for Devin Toner but he'll still get a reasonable amount of gametime one would assume.

In my opinion, Devin Toner has the skills to be a great player, but learning from a guy like Hines about the "other" side of being a top international second row will do him the world of good.

Healy
Jackman (could use a new hooker)
Ross
Cullen
Hines
O'Brien
Jennings
Heaslip

Reddan
Sexton
Fitzgerald
D'arcy
O'Driscoll
Horgan/Nacewa
Kearney

Won't give up the HEC without a hell of a fight!

Great signing for us.

Have good cover all over the front five now. Still need another back row option but outside of that its looking okay

Nahhh Sean O'Brien or Jennings can both comfortably play in the 6 slot.

Personally I'd love to see us sign a proper replacement for Gleeson. Jennings did real well at the end of the season and nailed down the 7 slot as his own, but we have no real cover if he's injured. Then again I like the power offered by an O'Brien, Heaslip, Jennings combination.

Incidently the press are starting to back track on this report. Nothing has been confirmed, Leinster are being very quiet. I'd presume Hines is in some demand and competitive offers are being thrown at him.

Still no official confirmation from Perpignan or Leinster that the move has happened but if the Scottish Union are listing him as playing for Leinster, it's a fair bet that he's RDS bound.

I hope, for Leinster's sake, that he has been signed. He's a great player and can definitely help fill out the side. There is definitely going to be a power vacuum left by Elsom.
