Jumper - a novel idea. completely half-hearted effort imo
As much as it pains me to say, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was pretty terrible. [/b]
I watched the new Indiana Jones movie yesterday and I honestly thought it to be the biggest pile of cack i've seen in a long time.
When I came out I thought I'd be a bit objective about it before coming to a conclusion, but now I've thought about it, even without the massive build up and the huge amount of expectation, it was a crap movie. Such a disappointment.

How are you supposed to know if it's **** or not without watching it?i dont know how people can just say "oh that was ****" well if it was why do people spend 2 hours of their time watching them[/b]
I agree with you on this one BLR.Cloverfield was pretty decent, very original and I didn't have a problem with the movement of the camera and understood the whole thing pretty decently....and the not knowing was sort of the point of the movie, reflecting the premise of simply watching a video camera, you are simply observing regular people in an extraordinary situation, not the cream of the crop awesome people that are in other movies, very good shiz.... [/b]
The story line of a monster destroying a city is not the point of the movie, the point is to document how a relatively average person would react to a huge situation, whether it'd be a monster attack or terrorist attack. The camera helps make it reflect the aim to put you in the shoes of the people in the situation and the obscure way of telling the story reflects life perfectly. The possibilities of this method would be fantastic, imagine a war-time movie told through a single camera man during a single battle. Hell, imagine a movie filmed using one of those old timey WW2 colour films, bad quality and all, by a amateur film maker on one of the Polish border towns. Showing the confusion of such a relatively unexpected invasion from the view of one film-maker would be immense....Story line is still crap though
Big ass lizard destroying a city (Godzilla??) doesn't really do it for me. I think I'll make a movie where the camera is always up side down. Now that's original! lol[/b]
