Tonight begins the pre-season in the southern hemisphere (Here the rugby season starts in April) and I still am with sharp pains in the back.
In late December I was diagnosed with scoliosis in the spine, I had very strong pain for 20 days and only stopped the pain with strong drugs. Throughout the month of January, the doctor forbade me physical activity (Specifically running and gym), just let me go swimming. Makes about ten days I came back to the gym (using a belt) but the pain continues.
The doctor's recommendation is to continue swimming for a few months and leave the rugby, but I want to play rugby. There are days where I don't have any kind of pain, and others where the pain appears. My physical condition is unfortunate, I'm slow and without stamina.
So if I want to get in shape for April, I must start with the heavy workout, but the pain remains. To a lesser extent but still continuous. Besides rugby is a sport that demands a lot from the back
What should I do?
