Munster v London Irish

Johne Murphy too snoop and well on the bench we have few youngsters but in terms of what your saying I agree but also think Nagle probably needed as the A team have to win and maybe Foley had word.

But we need to match Castres result and win

Bad way to look at it. If I were Munster I'd say the Amlin starts here. If they're going to blood young players in that they might as well do it against LI.

Feic I agree and if I were picking team Nagle and Darragh Hurley would be starting but I don't know maybe it's given a few lads a last goodbye in Europe.
I hope we win Amlin for Connacht and blood a few guys.
I do find it strange that we have a fine 7 playing 6, a 6 (Leamys best spot) playing 8 and Ronan (who reminds me of Trimble for Ireland) playing at 7. I want to see Holland or O'Donnell hurried in.
Up in Ulster last October O'Mahony replaced Quinny after 15mins and stood up like a man we have to build these guys in. Butler is another that needs to be more involved.

I don't usually support Munster... but please, please, please smash London Irish tomorrow!!!

Will do after tonights A game there seems to be a fire in the belly.
And strange thing is if Munster would win the Amlin then we will improve our ERC ranking

This game is quality :D

This game being the second half. Been a long time since I've seen a match of 6 tries, 6 conversions. No penalties, no drop goals!

Sherry and Hurley were good when they came on. I suspect Hurley might actually have a clue how to scrummage. I'd rather have him in the Ireland squad than Hayes...but yet...he's still there.

Why can't they play well 70+ minutes instead of 10- ...**** sake.

Munster won 28 - 14
Got two tries in the last 10mins or so

I actually thought the first half was alright, despite the lack of points - was better than most divisible-by-three-games anyhow!

So Munster have spot in the alim now?

I think it's not secured yet. Northampton have to stop Castre from winning with a bonus point for it to be sure....I fink.

It was actually three tries in the last 10. And I suppose alot of the rugby was played in the 22s in the first half.

Last 10 mins was absolutely brilliant. Munster need to keep playing like that for the whole game and when they get into top gear they are still a very powerful especially at Thomond. Mapasua had a great game a London Irish will really miss him. I thought O'Connell really looked good today especially for someone who has only played two games since march MOTM in my opinion. The Munster bench made a great impact with Stringer, O'Callaghan, Buckley, Archer and Sherry all making impacts. I also thought that even though the game was of little significance the atmosphere was electric and the crowd really brought their team across the finish line. A great game to watch.

Well Lads just in and said I'd say my piece on the game.

Starting with both teams it was a fun game as any penalty was (excluding 1 LI pen in 1st half) either a kick to corner or quick tap.
The atmosphere for the last 10 mins or so was electric but as it was easy to see the first 70mins was poor technically with both teams doing stupid errors but displaying extreme passion.

On the game - Well Coonor I presume you meant Darragh Hurley instead of Archer as Archer did well on Friday night but wasn't on this team.

I'll start with London Irish - A great team wit good craic and nearly had us through possibly 1 of the best individual displays from a player (not in a Munster jersey) in Heineken Cup in Thomond Park. Mapasua was excellent - for 1 try he did a quick kick that only a true rugby brain would've seen and every time he ran it took 2 defenders to stop him and even then he made yards.

On Munster what did we learn:
- Johne Murphy is a fine player but not the answer at 15.
- Keith Earls is a winger and scored his try when standing in a wingers position but he should be there long term.
- Stringer and DOC made an impact that changed the game which makes me wonder why it took that long
- Darragh Hurley, Mike Sherry and Buckley all came on improved our scrum and showed they can scrummage so what does that say ????

And I didn't see RTE highlights and Coonor I don't know how it looked on TV but you say Paulie should've been MOTM and well officially I believe Wallace got it but in reality it was like this, Paul O'Connell was poor up until DOC came on (absolutely wired up) and gave a punch to POC, Leamy and Ronan and that seemed to wake them. DOC seemed to have that spark because of the major kick up the arse he got during the week.

Tomas O'Leary has absolutely no confidence and was awful today. When Stringer came on we seen a major lift in tempo and well a 3 try period shows that.
My MOTM was possibly ROG or Mapasua but it was hard to call.
Onwards now to the Amlin and well we have to blood a few more youngsters in while maintaining our competitivness.

ye I did mean Hurley. I thought POC looked sharp, physical and fairly good at the lineout considering who they were up against. I saw it on sky and the commentator may have influenced my decision but he thought POC was good aswell. (then again he also thought O'leary was good)
