Have Britain and GB had any better alternatives, until Wellens came along?Originally posted by wigan_rlfc@Feb 1 2006, 09:37 AM
Do you really think that Radlinski would have lasted so long as Wigan and GB first choice if his tackling was average at best?
I don't honestly think it is. But it doesn't matter - his pace resolves the situation. He's the best in the world, but he isn't perfect.Originally posted by Wally@Feb 1 2006, 06:51 PM
What are you talking about Helen? Minichello's posi sense is outstanding. You don't see the bloke take too many pills on the bounce.

Wellens only gets GB places as Radlinski has been injured, Radlinski never lost his place to Wellens. If you want to see poor defence from Wellens just look at last years tri-nations. The Kiwi's ran rings round him.Originally posted by St Helens RLFC+Feb 1 2006, 08:16 AM--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (St Helens RLFC @ Feb 1 2006, 08:16 AM)</div><!--QuoteBegin-wigan_rlfcHave Britain and GB had any better alternatives, until Wellens came along? How do you know that? You can't go around saying that because Sadlinski was injured and therefore you can't compare them on form. Wellens had a much better season than Radlinski last season, and in 2004, and should have been picked above him on FORM.Originally posted by wigan_rlfc@Feb 2 2006, 03:20 AM

Best full back in Britain? or best British full back?
If the former I'm sure Mr Peachey would have a few words about that.
Strange indeed. Quiet life ?Originally posted by St Helens RLFC@Feb 7 2006, 08:37 PM
Peachey is a fantastic full back. But is he a few years past his best? I cannot believe he signed for Widnes and will play in the league below Super League.
