It's just like that whole left side of the road thing in England and SA... There's no such thing as right and left, it's right or it's wrong. So while we drive on the right side of the road, you guys obviously drive on the wrong side of the road!

That whole imperial system is overrated anyway. How many empires are there still in the world? ;)
 
England is weird, we mish-mash both together,
I know how tall I am in ft/inches, but not metres, and know how much i weigh in stones/pounds but not kg,
I know short distances in metres (i.e i know how long 100m is) but long distances in miles, and speeds in mph not kmh
I know how much 2litres is, but not a gallon, but know milk in pints not litres

My brain hurts.
 
How much is a stone anyway? And what stone do they use to measure? What if you have a smaller stone?
 
13 pounds if I remember correctly. What a bloody stupid system.
