I think at the age of 30 and with 41 caps cueto still has a while to go, probably after the nex world cup. I rate him much higher as a winger than a full-back. Being a regular twickenham visitor myself I watched him play a few great matches including an injury whilst playing against samoa where he was taken out in the air. He must remain in the England team after a superb performance that would not have let down any true England supporter.
Definately a starting member against Samoa this weekend.
Agree?

One of my favorite players in the game,
He's incredibly smart and can pick out a gap from nowhere, just doesn't have the pace to exploit it like some others. He's solid under the high ball and solid in defence. He's filled in at fullback for Sale and England to good effect (not spectacular but solid)
I could see him moving to 13 at some point. Sale have experimented with Ben Cohen at 13 and it worked quite well, and with some younger players (Tom Brady, Rhys Crane and Ian Thornley, notably) coming through, I imagine Cueto and Cohen will be used less on the wing and more at Fullback and Centre as they're both lacking in pace, especially compared to some of the other wingers out ther

He had one of his best games in a while (in an England shirt) on Saturday, and as many journalists said: "did everything possible except score a try" - proved a lot of naysayers wrong, I think. He's not past it, just a little slow compared to the Tom Varndells and Ugo Monyes of the world

I think slots in to the England set perfectly at the moment. A few months ago he looked lost in the English shirt but now I think he is becoming a leader on the pitch

yeah, I think that he really upped his game recently playing these internationals this Autumn. Also its not that he's slow, but pace isn't his main attribute.

Cuetos problem is not his sprinting pace, moreso it takes him an eternity to get up to speed - I've seen Oil Barges accelerate quicker then him.

I've long since said however that he'd be one of the world best if the speed issue wasn't the case. His brain is as sharp and anyone else out there and he's as strong as an ox in contact. Plus playing alongside Foden instead of Delon AmaKickitaway or Ian Boyhe'sShite has helped recently.

Worth his place for the foreseeable future, although England need to start developing a long term replacement immediately once the world cup is over, not waiting until late 2013 - Mistakes should not be repeated.

hes a great asset to the team and offers a good rugby understanding. great runs on saturday, and big defence. he destroyed o'conner when chasing a kick. a great player

Apparently his top speed is 34 kmph, only .5 less than the fastest man in the England squad...

I think what Bullit said is true, rather than what I said.
I've always just thought that he was slow (for a winger) but it is actually his acceleration. If you look at Shane Williams, a lot of people think he's insanely fast, but it's because he's got insane acceleration so can get away from tacklers,
For Ashtons 100m try on saturday, Cueto came haring into view just as Ashton crossed the NZ 22, I thought it was Foden initially because he looked to be moving pretty sharpish

Always been a fan of Cueto. I like players who hustle a lot, and Cueto has always struck me as a real team player.

to be fair we haven't played a side like samoa, if we had i think those stats would be a bit higher for our boys. Not to take anything away from Cueto though he is playing well and obvioulsy being very busy around the park.

The vast majority of those defenders beaten will be Quade Cooper.

Did you not watch the NZ/Scotland match?! :p Mils should on several miles metres gained

I don't, no - This was posted on his facebook page thing, so I'm not sure where they got them from

Dear god man, metric or imperial? Just choose one!

Well.

Clearly neither of us are going to yield on this matter. Perhaps a gentleman's solution to a quarrel is required. Pistols at dawn shall we say? It is bloody cold actually. Maybe a contest that could be carried out in the dining hall or parlour is in order.
