As an American I don’t have any skin in the game or a dog in the fight but I’ve enjoyed the Premiership in the past. As someone with no community ties, who should I follow?

At the moment I'd say Saints play the most interesting and adventurous style and have frequently been there or there abouts. Harlequins also play exciting rugby but seem to have a lot more variability in their performances. Case in point, a few years back they lost all their games and were bottom of the table, they then sacked their coach and won everything, including the league iirc.

Bath have a strong history but have only really found reasonable form again in the last 3 years or so.

Saracens used to dominate everything but their style was a bit divisive. They still retain their style but have not had quite the same degree of success.

Tigers have a reputation for being very traditionally English, forwards dominated and also have always been there or there abouts.

I suggest watch a few games and gear in mind the form can fluctuate quite a lot. See who gets you excited and just go for them.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been watching a lot of recent internationals and I like watching Tom Curry. George Ford is also a familiar name. Going to try and watch Sale play some for sure

Bristol.

We have the best accent and dialect.

We play "Bristol Fashion" rugby, which spurred other clubs in the PREM to move in a more expansive direction.

(eg; our match 6 days ago)

And we still have a number of key players to come back who like to do things like this

Arr mate, ees be a Bear. Drink up thy zider.

Sale is a great choice (if you want to end up questioning why you got interested in the sport in the first place :P)

We have the odd good performance but this season has been very frustrating - maybe you'll be the good luck charm we need 🤞🏻

If you like watching Sale you should probably just pick a South African team. After all, sale = South Africa's Largest Employer. 😝

Leicester Tigers doesn't want new supporters

We are the most historic club, been in the most finals 19 in total, won the most with 11. We went through a period of being **** recently so you don't need to worry about being called a glory fan, but despite that we have still won a trophy and got to the final in the last few years.
We are a club that wasn't made by private posh schoolboys like Bath and Northampton, we are hard working salt of the earth.

We have a cool name unlike Saints which is just weird. (Although being American the potential evangelist roots might be of interest idk)

Sale Sharks won't have you either cause they only want northerners even though their main support base in Cheshire is about as Northern as the South Pole.

Also Bristol fans are the most desperate supporters, largely because they dream they were Bath.

(Another plus point with the name you can pretend to be an Leinster fan)
