Major League Rugby

I haven't posted in a few weeks due to server problems, so it's good to be back. My San Diego Legion won @ Utah tonight, and move back into first place in the Western Conference...at least until tomorrow. It all depends on what Austin does. Sadly, Nate Augspurger scrum half for the Legion was injured twice tonight.

Toronto Arrows played their first home game in 1,035 days due to strict Covid-19 regulations in Canada. o_O But Rugby ATL's defense held on for the win.

Can't believe RNY almost blew it this past weekend. No defense
I watched that game and think RNY took Old Glory DC lightly because of their win less record. And it almost came back to bite them. o_O Almost.

For those who don't know, a rich Aussie egomaniac named Adam Gilchrist (not the cricket commentator and former player of the same name) owns the Austin Gilgronis and LA Giltinis which he named after himself and cocktails (very lame IMO), Gil + negroni = Gilgronis and Gil + martini = Giltinis. I hope he does sell the Gilgronis and they change the name and stay in Austin, if possible. The were originally called the Elite and then the Herd before Gilchrist bought the team.

The team names are a joke but I'd never turn down money for a youthful, expanding league during a pandemic. Plus it's not like US sports don't have a history of changing hands and moving city (which admittedly I dislike). Also, with the MLR rules, if he wanted to buy success he could only do this by investing more in player development, which isnt a bad thing.
