Say's the FOB Coconut living in New Lynn to the Ginga Dole Bludger who goes to Howick College.

Wow. This makes interesting reading after waking up after a night of cheap O'Mara's Irish Cream.

All I had wanted to do was make him post less ****.

And then maybe ban him permanently from the Sidhe forum.

But hey/

JJ, I think you hit the nail on the head (though you were drinking cheap Irish cream . . . Christ, can someone get this guy an alchopop or a light beer, anything . . .)

Get Los to post less ****. -- Amen.

And to clarify, especially if Los is reading this: '****' = when in an argument with someone, your goal is not to feed them their own heart.

TRF doesn't really function that way. Make your points and move on.
Why get personal?

None of this exists. We're all figments of a damn cpu screen. Sarcasm never reads well. The Smilies help, a little, but I feel gay using them.

I'd welcome you back, but I think you need to make your case in the big hoopla court thread. Regardless of that outcome, I think you owe a couple of apologies if you want to come back on this forum and not be ignored.

You were welcomed here just as everyone else was and none of this high adventure has happened to other members.

let los bak

...BULLSHIT!..lol

na let him backwe've all done worser things than him

This is the e-mail I'm about to send to the great one:

Defamation

..... is something I studied, and studied hard for 12 months. You've not thought this through have you? You have tried to scare the boss into letting you back on and it's failed miserably.

However, you calling me a Nazi is not only defamation it is also LIBELLOUS. You haven't a leg to stand on, I have carte blanche license to issue you with a legal writ here. You cannot claim fair comment or justification as your defence as you have no evidence so that, if I wanted it to be, would be a big problem for you.

But because I'm not pathetic, I'm not going to do that.

You know why you were banned - you were lucky I forgot to delete you after the Mario incident. You have spoilt TRF for other people, it's only when you came back causing more trouble that enough was enough.

I won't stop you re-registering though, because you're being taken to court:

http://www.therugbyforum.com/index.php?showtopic=4186

TRF Court that is.This is your chance to come and defend yourself. I won't apologise, but I will be big enough to say "come and have your say."

You don't want to be trialled in absence.

Your call anyway, it doesn't bother me either way. You had a decent argument until the "legal action" part which has just thrown your argument away and much of the board against you.

Might see you around.
Seriously St Helens RLFC I do not believe you when you say that you studied defamation for twelve months.

The reason that I say this is because from what you have said it would clearly indicate that you do not have a very good working knowledge of the legal process of proving that you have been defamed.

A couple of the key points of defamation (I am grouping slander and libel together to ensure that this post does not become a novel):

You have to be able to prove that someone has said something that is:

1. Insulting, or is likely to result in your reputation being damaged. (And yes you do have to have had a public reputation to damage in the first place.)

2. Untrue.

3. That it has been said (or written) in a public domain.

The problem that you will have is proving all of these. And the fact that you have repeated some of these accusations (whatever they are) in a public domain will seriously jepardise your case. Under normal circumstances the person who has been defamed is so horrified by the accusations and fears that what was said will affect their reputation that the last thing that they will do is to repeat them publicly.

And also the fact that he (Los Lover) has never used your real name in a public forum destroys your case totally.

I am not even going to mention that you would have to lodge the case in the country of the defamer and it would be done under, in this case I presume it would be, New Zealand law. And New Zealand tort legislation is very different to that of the UK even though it is originally based upon it.

The whole process would be very expensive, for you, and would result in you losing the case and probably having to pay Los Lover court costs.

If you are serious when you said that you studied defamation for twelve months then you wasted twelve months of your life and that is sad.

NB: Obviously defamation is a lot more involved then what I have written above - however I normally charge for my legal advice and that is all that I can be bothered to write.

I have studied basic defamation - I'm not a guru, I know enough to get me by and stand up for myself when people accuse me of things. Your descriptions are much more detailed than I ever studied.

St Helens RLFC,

I do not know if you really are scared about legal action or whether you are just playing it up because it is funny and there isn't much rugby to talk about at the moment.

But seriously just ignore it there is nothing that he can do about it.

and talk in a civil manner to SHRLFC.
what the f***?

just because SHRLFC insults people, doesn't mean we shouldn't argue back. i have no idea what the topic of los lover is about but i told that jamie lyon kid (if that is RLFC or else this is a pointless post) that he couldn't compare Rugby 06 and RC 06 before they even came out, plus him not having even played Rugby 06. He got all "i'm so cool so you better not disagree with me" (that not what he really said but you get the idea). So then i said something (a witty remark) to him and he edited my post to a sentence insulting myself (who actually wrote the post). WHAT A GAY!!

Now, i am not attacking SHRLFC but i am merely siding on Los Lover in the fact that maybe he was very harsh towars other users but the some of the mods on this forum most stop being such tight arses and start maturing into what they supposed to do. Keep forums happy and interesting. Kicking somebody out (especially a "character" such as Los Lover) doesn't do great because even if some people hate him they might start to miss his arguments and arguing with him.

You've been here two minutes, so clearly have no idea who Los Lover is, or why he got banned in the first place.

what brett said[/b]

or like the time he deleted a thread, a good one, and by a single on topic post, it would have saved it. and i strait out called him a prick. not as in a, your a prick so im going to hunt you down and cut off your fingers and put them up your nose, but a prick in a joking, not too serious way. ended up with no change in the topics, and a 20% warning.

This forum is all about having opinions/arguments, however posting downright abuse of somebody in one of its threads is where I draw the line.........

Just as you are entitled to your opinion, though I must say considering you have admitted not knowing what Los Lover did to originally get banned, how valid your opinion is is anybodies guess

St Helens does not like people disagreeing with him, he does seem a bit trigger happy and touchy at times you must admit.

Please dont beat me.
