List of wins by Tier Two nations against Tier One nations in the pro era

It says Scotland never played NZ.
Well spotted, contrary to my table, NZ beat Scotland 15 times before 1995 (and 2 draws). This also means the professional era table should be 15x instead of 30x

Corrected tables attached
Caveat: this still doesn't include pre-1995 T1 wins by Namibia and Germany

Also defeating Italy before the pro era: (in addition to the countries in the table and previously mentioned Namibia 2x and Germany 4x)
- Spain 3x (1929, 1972, 1977)
- Morocco 2x (1971, 1975)
-
Portugal (1973)
- Cook Islands (1980)
- Soviet Union beat Italy 9x (and it hasn't existed in the professional era)
- Czechoslovakia (hasn't existed in the professional era)
- Poland (1987 but it was vs Italy U21, presumably no caps)

All accounted for, so definitely not in the pro era. Interesting that apart from 1929, they're all in a 10 year period 1971-1980. Not a great decade for Italy.

How are you defining tier 1? Is it playing for 6N or THC? Because if that is your criteria Argentina was not Tier 1 until 2012 and pro era started in 1995 if i recall correctly.
Pretty sure Arg beat quite a few Tier 1 nations between 1996 and 2011.
And Italy didn't get to T1 until the 6N in 2000
