Leinster v ASM Clermont Auvergne
Aviva Stadium
Dublin, Ireland

This is a must win game for us if we lose out chances of qualifying on pretty. Could bea very tough game without Fitz and Kearney(kind of) and possible Heslip and Drico. I think we will nab it in front of a home crowd in Lansdown road.

If Heaslip and BOD are back Leinster will be fine. Nacewa is better at 15 than Kearney in terms of fitting the game Leinster want to play

Yea it just Shane horgan was a great player and now is not while i haven't actually seen him this year I just don't trust him after the QF last year.

Will be a really good game to watch just like the previous game.
It will be a close call

We learned more about the future of Irish rugby in 80 minutes against Clermont Auvergne yesterday than in four test matches last month. Hopefully McFadden, O'Malley and the like continue their form next week. It promises to be a cracker with both teams trying to play rugby rather than slogging it out and kicking the leather off the ball.

Leinster by 10.

Agreed there Snoop. At least all provinces are willing to gamble now but Irish team won't. O'Malley was excellent and McFadden seemed a natural on the wing.

Horgan has been quite good this year. While he isn't getting any younger he's much more of his old self than he was last season. A few bad games doesn't make him a bad player.

I'm looking forward to this one greatly. If Heaslip and O'Brien can come through okay then we should be able to take a narrow win at home. O'Malley and McFadden have shown enough to merit starts next week so if there's any doubt over the fitness of BOD and co. I'd leave them on the bench, how neat would it be to have Ireland's greatest ever centre come on for the last 30? Sexton must match last week's performance and the front row has to at least achieve parity. Cullen and Hines must dominate.

Leinster by 3.

I agree Horgan has been very good this year. Last year he made mistakes and he tried to run and step through players however that didn't work due to his lack of speed and quick feet. He seems to have changed his game plan and now he uses his height, strengh and rugby knowledge to set up trys, win the high ball crash through the gain line.

Missed the last quarter of the game in france but thought Leinster looked good in what I saw.
With the home advantage I'd expect a Leinster win if they aren't too hampered by injuries.
Hope it's a good game as it'll give me something to talk about in Bray next week.

Clint Newland is at Leinster? Didn't know about that...

How is he going so far?

Hes only here for a short term thing till February back i think. Can't tell you how hes going though.

Newland has been great in the loose but terrible in the scrum. I'd rate him behind Mike Ross, the injured Stan Wright and the amateur Simon Shawe. He was a panic signing. Good luck to him, I hope he secures a long term deal somewhere but tears won't be shed if he leaves Leinster in January.

Early reports suggest Jamie Heaslip is out of this game but Sean O'Brien should be fit. Whether it's wise to pick a player who was clearly concussed last weekend is another matter.

How surprising...
Thx for the info...

No update on BOD. RTE news is now reporting that Eoin O'Malley is out with a cracked rib. So that's Rob Kearney, Andrew Conway, Luke Fitzgerald, Brian O'Driscoll, Stan Wright, Jamie Heaslip, Sean O'Brien and Kevin McLaughlin all potentially on the injured list along with Ronan McCormack and John Fogarty who were forced to retire this season. Christ.

Does that mean so McFadden back in centre and Kearney Jr. on wing.
Pity for O'Malley if true as he did well last weekend. But why do I feel Leinster will win this well
