Sale Sharks Director of Rugby Kingsley Jones today revealed that he will be leaving the Aviva Premiership club at the end of January. He will depart the club after almost 7 years with the Sharks, initially as Head Coach before becoming Director of Rugby in December 2008. During this time the team have won the Premiership in 2006, the European Challenge Cup and progressed to the Heineken Cup Quarter Finals.

Says in the article he wants to get back into coaching, rather than the administrative side of it,
Newport-Gwent Dragons? He's said before he wants to head back to Wales

Been common knowledge for a while that he was on his way. Wonder if he'll try to take the Welshists with him?

Wouldn't be the first time that happened
*coughMALLINDERcough* *coughPSAcough*

Don't think any of them are out of contract this season though, apart from possibly Dwayne Peel (who could well follow him to Wales if it helps his WC chances)

Regardless, looks like bad times are ahead for Sale. Potentially could be serious contenders for relegation fodder next season if something HUGE doesn't happen over the summer. I think they've already done enough to avoid both Newcastle and Leeds this year, but there's an air of Sale RFC that I remember from a few years back closer to home.
