just want to hear people's opinions on the fella. he's playing awesome! i keep reading bout him making breaks and scoring tries frequently. so yea is this guy the real deal??

Give him a chance and I think he'll show that yes he is the 'real deal'. This is his year. if he's broken into the big competitions early...i.e. the HCuup then he'll be lethal.

He's a better centre than Fitzgerald. I'd say Fitzgerald on the wing though. I've stated before that I think Kearney is an AWESOME player though.

Judging by his performance on Sunday against Leinster at the RDS this kid is something special.

But not at fullback. Maybe more time there will get him right, but he's not strong enough.

why are they playing him at fullback? he was doing pretty well at centre, which is where Ireland could use a replacement for BOD.

Because it's probably felt that the Mafi-Tapoki partnership is working well in centre and it might be a bit risky to disrupt that at the moment.

But I agree, Centre is the place for him.

Sorry I haven't seen anything of this kid. Sounds a good prospect but I can't seeing him breaking into the centre with Mafi and Tipoki there. I watched them against the Blues a couple of weeks ago and they both played like they were possessed. Awesome.

Did the same against Leinster. They didnt get much change outta Contepomi and BOD but they look more dangerous throughout the game.

Anyhoo, Earls is certainly not a liability at fullback so its a win win for Munster. They are looking really strong already for good Magners and HEC campaigns.

I honestly think he'll be a better player then Fitzgerald, but he's not a full back.. I'd say in a few years for ireland you'll see kearney at full back.. earls at 13.. fitz at 12 ..maybe leave bowe on the wing

Given Tipoki's injury, hopefully he'll get a shot alongside Mafi against Sale and Montauban (with Warrick at 15). He's quietened down a bit since his mesmeric start to the season but his talent is there for all to see. In Earls, Cave, Fitzgerald and Kearney, Ireland are blessed with some outstanding prospects from 11-15.
