Can't say that Muller was ever really inspiring in a Bok jersey. Maybe his experience could benefit Ulster but he is by no means a great player.
Not talking about BJ, though he has struggled to perform for the Boks recently. Pienaar is massively overrated IMO and frankly I am glad to see the back of him. Then again, players like Schalk Brits seem by all accounts to perform (although I haven't actually watched) in the NH where I couldn't stand him in a WP jersey (he can run with a ball but was greedy and constantly getting himslef isolated) so who Knows, Pienaar might set the ML alight. Wannenburg is pretty solid but aging, though his size and age wouldn't work against him as much in Europe as it would here.
Mainly, i think the playing conditions are so diferent that players who might not be highly rated at home might well perform up North. Maybe a change of scenery and a little confidence/better player management helps as well. All in all, I think you have missed a few golden opportunities (Wian du Preez is pretty young and promising, though). I was, however, sad to see Ernst Joubert move North as I don't rate either Spies or Kankowski for the Bok no 8 jersey.
