Jarrod Sammut signs for the Crusaders

Crusaders RL have completed the signing of highly-rated Maltese international scrum half Jarrod Sammut.

Sammut, 23, joins from NRL outfit Penrith Panthers, who he made his debut for in 2007.

During a two year period for the Panthers, he made he scored 118 points in 38 appearances. He scored seven tries and kicked 44 goals during that period. He can also fill in at wing.

Crusaders RL beat a number of other clubs to the signature of live-wire half-back and Head Coach Brian Noble is delighted to have him on board.

Seems to be a good player, maybe someone could shed some light on him?

I think i've seen him play for the panthers a couple of times, can't remember him doing anything standout, but his stats seem decent enough
Should be a good signing, Crusaders are building a stronger and stronger team, would like to see some more local talent going in, instead of just shipping them in from the NRL, but i suppose they need to establish themselves properly in the Superleague first

Good utility player. Good speed. Always had that something about him, showed signs of class but never went on with it due to inconststent team form and personal form.
