James O'Connor's rugby future could be in red. Queensland is emerging as the most likely destination for former Wallaby James O'Connor:

Good news for my Aussie team! Yeah baby!

This is undoubtedly what the team needs in the future. A top class player who can play at 12, 15 or even at wing. We lost a lot with the departure of Digby Ioane and we have also lost Luke Morahan. The other strong Aussie franchises have great players in their backlines like: Israel Folau, Kurtley Beale, Alofa Alofa (Waratahs), Kuridrani, Leali'ifano, Pat McCabe and Henry Speight (Brumbies).

Even the weakest Aussie franchises have some good players in their backlines like: Nick Cummins (Western Force) and Tamati Ellison (Rebels).

I hope this happens. Genia, QC and JOC together could take our game to a higher level.

Cheers

Alternatively he could bring the whole system crashing down... Hard to say with a player like JOC.

Would he slot in at Fb then? I think he has loads of talent but really needs to nail a position down to help him progress. Would be a good deal for the reds though

Toua is a fantastic 15 and it would be a shame for him to get booted out for JOC.

JO'C is a plague. As talented rugby player he is - he seems like a disruptive ****.

Apparently slotted in very well at London Irish - not heard a bad word about him there.

I rated him as one of the best potential wings in the world for quite awhile.

He has the all round package speed, strength, great game vision, solid enough build wise, good kicker.

Just his attitude sucks, for me he needs a culture that is about the team not individuals within a team, previously teams have been hey we have JOC lets make him a 10/etc and slot our backline around him, wrong approach, they need to be like hey we have JOC where can we fit him into our backline that makes best use of him and utilizes what we currently have.

IMO he is a winger, Aussie have Folau at fullback and heaps of depth in the inside backs, they lack a quality finisher on the wing and that should be his role.

He suffers from what a lot of coaches try do and bend a player into something they are not, eg Ben Smith at centre for the AB's, for years the AB backline has been built around big centres (Conrad, Umaga) and rugby these days is about big centres, then we take a 85kg winger and put him into a position where todays standard is 90+.

Just find him a wing position both Ben and JOC and let them perform.

He's like the Justin Bieber of rugby...he doesn't appreciate what he has and would rather act like an asphole than an adult. Of course, I really haven't been following what he's up to these days, so mostly referring to his 'tude last year.
