Was just looking at the TV Guide on ITV's website, and noticed that they aren't showing any repeats of the matches during the day, only a short highlights show. Seems a bit daft really, my Dads especially annoyed since he's working nights during most of the tournament so wont be able to watch them in the night no matter what. They repeated games in the last World Cup (which was only an hour difference in time at most) so why on earth aren't they doing it with this one with games in the early hours of the morning?!

Every match will be on the ITV player, but it is odd that they're not being repeated on TV

Are they not showing any on ITV4?

I presume mainstream TV / licensing plays an issue. I can't see ITV showing full games again ... rarely do SKY show a full game, more of long highlights, considering some days there are more than one game to show it would be impossible. As Olyy said ITV player are showing full games.

From looking at the first 3 days of coverage (so most of the 1st round of matches) and the only things on ITV4 are an hour long highlights show and plenty of 'Dallaglios World Cup'. Seems really daft to me, especially since ITV Player isn't the best option tbh, especially for those of us with useless internet connections.
Wish the BBC would be given the World Cup, or at least they'd be able to share it like the Football one. ITV 's Rugby coverage is bloody awful.

Must say I think ITV have a very good panel assembled.
Setanta have the games and usually repeat them in full

At least we wont have to put up with John "lets talk about Jonny Wilkinson" Inverdale and that stupid Sonia bird on the BBC

Sorry to dredge this one up, but was wondering, anyone catch Scrum V on Sunday? Was such a relief to be watching good rugby coverage... One of my biggest problems with ITV is they're so damn rigid and serious, and when they do try to be funny it's very forced. BBC just seems to be able to get a very good balance between serious rugby talk (does feel they know what they're on about more than the ITV fellas sometimes too) and making it funny and entertaining to watch. It's how rugby should be broadcast imo.

Missed it unfortunately

However in Quinlan ITV have found themselves a good commentator - glad to see (hear?) him getting more air time

Yeah I thought Quinlan was pretty good too tbf.

Also I see that ITV are advertising the Heineken Cup and the LV-Cup? Anyone know if it's just highlights or live? Guessing it's highlights?

Be glad you're not stuck with Stuart Barnes from skysports.
He's over here in NZ broadcasting on our skysports. Bloody awful.
But i wasn't a fan of ITV last year, however, discovering Greenwood as a wonderful commentator forgave them of all their shitty coverages.
So glad i don't have to watch the world cup in the middle of the night or early in the morning tho.

Ah I cannot stand Barnes... it is starting to get on my nerves with the whole 'lets go to the England camp' thing after every bloody game though<_<
How come you're down under anyway?

Bugger all to do at home, so i moved out here about 6 months ago.
They're about 10 years behind the UK, but it's a wonderful place and the only celebs out here are the ABs. Rugby is SO much bigger here than at home, it shocked me.

Here, in Canada, we've been getting a NZ feed with NZ commentators including the wonderful Scotty and Foxy (or is it Scottie and Foxie?). BUT, when the Scotland/Georgia game started, Mrs K groaned and said, 'It's ****ing Motormouth." I thought we'd got a BBC feed and were being punished. WHy, Oh why7, has a NZ broadcaster let this windbag, Barnes, on the air?

I enjoyed ESPN's coverage at the Twickers double header. Light hearted and banter full but not to the detriment of the commentary of the game.

Jeez, just told Mrs K i've posted and she demanded that I add, "If he says, "I must say", one more time, I'll explode. And, 'If he's so fecking psychic, why doesn't he get a job at a fairground?'

I think the SH commentators have spoiled us

Apart from the coverage not being replayed I haven't minded those hosting it.

They've had a couple of good former players, Alan Quinlan's doing a nice job commentating, and Craig Doyle is doing a good job presenting (instead of being the usual ****-stirrer that clearly doesn't know a thing that usually does that sort of job).
