If the Welsh can do it, then surely we can give it a go!
1. Marcus Horan- For most of the decade he was excellent with ball in hand, and had a way of earning a lot of penalties for Ireland in the scrum. A clever scrummager.
2. Keith Wood- Era.......you know yourself
3. Hayes- By default. A solid player in his day, its a shame he didnt leave when he was still capable
4. MOK- Always loved him as a player. Big strong carrier, excellent in the lineout and apparently a great scrummaging lock
5. POC- On his day one of the best in the world
6.Ferris- A beast. Included instead of Easterby because, well, i donno where to fit a norrie and Easterby was never amazing
7. Wallace- Consistantly a great performer for ireland
8. Heaslip- Has been unreal since breaking into the team. Crazy to think how young he is
9. Stringer- almost by default. Best pass in the world and never lacks heart. treated badly since the last world cup
10. ROG- But only cos he played way more than Humph or Sex. Still class on his day
11. Hickie- Some pace on him, and ran great lines
12. Darcy- Serious competition here from Hendo and Maggs but Darcy has looked the best
13. BOD
14. Horgan- For a while i think he was everyones favourite. Tommy is the better player now but 5 years ago, Horgan was the first name on the teamsheet
15. Dempsy- the best defensively. Was no slouch and picked great lines. Also seemed like a nice fella
16. Flannery
17.?????? Cloughessy?
18. Brennan
19. Leamy
20. ???
21. Sexton
22. Bowe
Wow, we really relied on very few players in 10 years in some positions.
