He went to Southern France... not the USA. [/b]
In Northern France they were arrogant, we got a few 'English Pigs', when we got to the south there was little - no arrogance.

The worst are Parisian French or snobbish Quebecers from here. Otherwise, French are quite polite and they cook well.

Arrogance is relative and not often associated with money.

The bottom line is that a lot of people from all walks of life use arrogance in different fields to promote themselves (so called) above others. Just because you can "hold your nose up high" in some parts of the world for whatever reason does not mean you can do it everywhere as a lot of people who have different values don't even care. Sometimes the "arrogant" may be looking with disdain at some people not realising that the same people are looking with disdain back. Awareness can hurt you sometimes, it is safer often to be ignorant.

Well guys I don't know what you mean by arrogance but for example in France the English people are felt arrogant...

So in the end I tend to not trust these general comment allthough I agree that the French tend to be proud of their culture, cuisine, wines, etc... and are not that knowledgeable about what's happening outside, very few emigrated or nowadays travel away. So my feeling is that what is called arrogance is most of the time ignorance although the group called Parisian French is usually well educated.

BTW I am not a typical French, I am an Hispano-French and try to be neutral with regard to these nationalistic views.

France is pretty nice you're right but there are other nice places. Furthermore countries are made of land and people. Even if the land is not that beautiful the people can be very interesting to meet.

To give an example, the landscape of Northern England didn't leave me an unforgettable record but the people I met there were really nice and I won't forget them.

That's important for me to travel and meet people. I have not gone yet to Australia and NZ but I would really appreciate it. Last year it was in my plan to go to New Caledonia and Australia but unfortunately I had to change it.

Well incredible_holc I think this is a different debate and I didn't expect this kind of bullshiting.

I leave French bashing to the English tabloïds and to Fox Tv in the US. They are professional and I cannot compete with them.

Fox TV isn't professional. They're just loud and ignorant.
Well you know loudness and ignorancy are pre-requisites for bashing otherwise it sounds pedant, objective nothing for the masses to rally.

"good evening this is FOX news your home of evil". Quote from the simpsons

They're right to, it's not news it's tailor made tabloid, fear inducing rubbish.

No it's fact mate.

I know exactly what FOX News is about. You obviously didn't pick up on my irony.

Who cares what any newscater's opinion is? they still give it.
There's a big difference between any ordinary news broadcaster giving his/her opinion and Fox News. It's like watching Ripper and St Helens talking about something they don't even specialise in on national television.
