Injury forces former Wales hooker Gareth Williams to retire

Former Wales and Cardiff Blues hooker Gareth Williams has retired on medical advice because of a neck injury.

I wondered what had happened to him, heard the news during the Blues v Glasgow game. Pitty, and a big loss for the Blues. Was never a fan of him on the international scene (simply too small), but he was an excellent regional player who put everything into every game he played. Wish him the best for whatever he chooses to do in the future.
