If Godman goes down who's at 10?

As we're without Jackson we now must pray Godman doesn't get injured, or will be subjected to seeing all our possession kicked away and some appalling defense.

Who are the options?

Parks... :)
David Blair - Given his performances this year I hope not
Colin Gregor? He's been playing 9
Mossy? He's not a 10, and lost the chance to be several years ago.
Bring back Gregor from retirement?

Dan Parks looks to take every team appart whenever anyone goes up to Glasgow.

He has an uncanny ability to split defences, and to time his passes just right so they float gracefully before being caught, at speed, leaving the defenders no chance...

Could Andy Robinson attract an English player elligible for Scotland?

I think the options are David Blair, David Blair or David Blair. If that fails then I would play Hugo Southwell at 10 before giving Parks or anyone else a go there. If Italy can do it (Marcato, Masi and McLean) and South Africa can do it too (Piennar) then Scotland could try it if need be.

Scotland's options in the backthree would justify Southwell at 10. Worth a try perhaps. A big risk but with a bit of merit. Chris Paterson would play there too. Honestly does Southwell have fewer flyhalf abilities than Paterson?

Paterson's played there, and is a better passer and better at thinking where to kick. Huuuuuuuuuugo can kick further. If Southwell plays at 10 we may as well play Parks. They both kick long distances, regardless of the situation, throw horror passes (I assume, Huuuuuuuuuugo) though Southwell has made a tackle in his career. Parks seems to model his tackling techhnique on O'Gara :\

Put Mike Blair at ten and Custiter at 9....ye ken?

except for kicking, Blair would be a better ten than all of them...even Godman...shame about Jackson...just wait for the 6N and he'll be there...

I'd take Godman over Blair - he doesn't play there and my brain can't cope with that. But thinking about it, it could work, particularly if we played Paterson at 15 so he could step in when neccessary...maybe

I'd have Cusiter at 9 over Blair though.

Blair's form has taken a nose dive since he was picked for the Lions...my perfect backline would be 9. Cusiter 10. Jackson 11. Thom Evans 12. De Luca 13. Max Evans 14. (not sure) maybe Danielli or Turnbull 15. Rory Lamont

Well, I guess this one's pretty clear now, after three man of the match performances.

Can anyone explain what's happened recently?

The only correlation seems to be Parko has got more ginger, so more Welsh (I'm in trouble now!) so a better 10, what do you think?
