Here's the result of the pre-season game between the Hurricanes and the Chiefs as per the NZ Herald website.

It looks like it was another close match, and that many of the fringe players in both squads got opportunities to impress.

The Hurricanes have beaten the Chiefs 35-31 in a Super rugby pre-season game at match at Mangatainoka today.

The Chiefs led 17-14 at halftime before the Hurricanes took the lead 28-17 after the third quarter.

Scores:
Hurricanes 35 (James Broadhurst,2, Andre Taylor, Jayden Hayward, Alapati Leiua tries; Andre Taylor 2 con, Beauden Barrett 2 con, Daniel Kirkpatrick con) Chiefs 31 (Tim Nanai-Williams, 2, Trent Renata, Ben May, Sam Cane tries; Mike Delany con, Williams con).

Pity the chiefs couldn't hold on to their lead but it's not a bad result.

yeah sounds like the chiefs lost their mommentum giving all their players a run but that's more important than the result. That and no injuries.

Beauden Barrett is all black material big time, love watching that kid play. Could make me a hurricanes fan.
