In particular, if you currently live in a country that has no significant rugby following, how do you intend to watch the rugby world cup?

Being in Christchurch and having lost my tickets to the games down here i will be watching in the pub

Except for the france game. My borther works for Air NZ and they have put on all kinds of functions for their staff. For the France game they are building a grandstand in one of their hangers and setting up a big screen/bar etc, going to be great and the closest to the game i will get.

It is going to be broadcast on cable here in Canada for the first time since 1995. The major sports channel will cover all 48 games and in HD so that is going to be awesome

Hopefully at least partly inebriated :p am moving into my new house in uni on the 19th and freshers kicks off on the 24th so what me and my mate have planned is - go out and get smashed, leave the clubs at 3am, stumble home, watch the 4am game, get some breakfast, watch the 7am game, sleep. Then repeat. I'd call that a win?

& that sports chanel is?

TSN and TSN2. All of Canada's games, the semis, and the final are on TSN, the rest are on TSN2 except for a few games streamed on TSN.ca. Most of the matches are at awkward times, so I'm probably going to download the matches after they happen myself, with the exceptions of the semis and final, which I'll stream.

I shall watch it down my nose at the pitiful nations that try and match it with the wobs! But seriously i'll watch it on the tv, crazy i know.

Haha. I've tipped you to win it but I secretly want NZ to win.

In zid deserve to win it more than anyone that's for sure, I'll be happy enough if we make the final and lose due to the dreadful eden park record

Will sky+ the games that start 9.30 gmt and watch some of the early ones

I just got one of those nifty pvr thingys so I will be able to watch when I get up out of bed if I don't stay up all night to watch

Well considering the games start between 8:00 and 10:00 in the morning (with the occasional early match at about 7:00) I'll probably be using the PVR a -lot- get back home from work (at around 1) and watch the games I've recorded.

will catch the weekend games live obviously, and might make an exception for the SPringbok games (which start around 10:00 on weekdays I think) and just go to work late.

I had to fork out a good R800 + just to activate my DSTV and PVR again, but whatever, it's totally worth it :D

A few games will also only start at 3 AM in SA.

Ugh, I gonna be on a plane from Jo'burg back to Durbs during the SA vs. Wales game, hopefully the pilot is South African, and will make all due haste and install some kinda NO2 injectors so we can catch the last 20 minutes.

My plan for the 9th is to record the opening game, then watch it at around 5-6pm, sleep, then wake up at 3am to watch Scotland and all the others. Then I'll figure out how I can remain concous throughout all the other games as they come along. (I nodded off at half time in Austrailia-Samoa and didn't wake up until 43 minutes when I was kneed in the face.)

Half-aasleep leaving for school half way through most matches.

Becoming nocturnal through September/October
Going to watch as many as I can, though I imagine I'll sleep through a few

Ill just record them and watch them in the evening :p

Here in NZ they are free to air on TV1, Maori Television and subscription on Sky sports 1 and sky rugby.

Looking forward to watching South Africa vs Wales next Sunday!! : )
