I thought this was a funny video about Wallabies vs Samoa...

if you want to promote a match against a lesser quality team than yourself, you should try and build them up as a credible threat so people will be interested in the game. don't make BS like that

I wish I could share the same enthusiasm about Samoas scrum as you do Kovana. Realistically I wouldn't go as far as to say their going to make mincemeat, I'll be happy if they can just compete and hold their own at the set piece not just the line out. We'll have to be at our absolute best to compete with the wallabies and it helps that we are going to be prepared this time as our star players are mostly available and have been together in camp for the past two weeks. The last time we met in 2005 where we were smashed 74 - 7. this time I'm confident we will pit up a much better fight.As for the video it doesn't bother me too much. Although I question wether mocking the opposition like that is going to do anything positive in promoting the game . Plus If your going to take the **** like that at least make them sound like Samoans and not like Maoris.

The Wallabies mock pretty much every team before a game. Remember what they were saying before the game against England in the 2007 RWC? 'I think we'll put 30 points on them' 'there going to be playing one of the brightest teams in rugby'

Lol sounds more like kiwi accents than Samoan. I give Samoan a decent chance but think the Wallabies will win by 10 - 15 points. I do like the set up and management. Tom Coventry is one of the best forward coaches going around and we seen that with Samoa's big improvement in scrum time and set pieces. Looking forward to what will be a physical battle.

It isn't a big deal and as a half Samoan I'm not offended at all. If anything, as I said, I think it's alil silly mocking Samoans by having them talk like Maoris and that is all.

yeah, i was actually at that match in 2005 ... I think the Samoan squad had a matter of days together before that match, so i'm not too surprised by the result.

As for the animation, it's the "beached as bro" whale, ... it's been around for a while, and is usually used to take the p1ss out of way us Kiwis speak.

As it's been said already, it's not unusual for the promoters/Australian rugby union (not the Wallabies) to mock/try and use humour to promote their matches ... I remember the All Black Haka with handbags
