Heineken Cup P4: Northampton vs Glasgow - 14/10/2012

Saints look good to win the game (especially with bonus try now) but think they look quite average as a team.....................funnily enough, if I were being naughty, I would go for Hensen rather than Cips instead of either of the two they have at the moment!!

Would you now. I take it you saw none of the Sale match this pm?

Saints need to be far more clinical. Hoping they manage to peak at the right point in the season this year.

Great to see Wood and Lawes back!

Hey look, Saints unable to put 80 minutes together again...

I still stand by my theorey that Myler is an exceptionally average fly half who's made to look a lot better by his outside backs. Typical mungoballer. Farrell is the same.

Cipriani wouldn't be the answer. Saints need an Evans/Mires type player pulling the strings - I.e. Rock Solid with flair. Not a bottler or a maverick.

Whilst thats probably true, the two you mention are top quality fly-halves who anybody would want to have. I would say that there are plenty of other 10s' out there who could do a better job than Myler. You can have Nicky Robinson if you like! (very unlikely you'd want him, he's consistently inconsistent and his kicking is gash.)

Did missing that kick by a mile for the draw count as bottling?

I was hoping for more out of Geraghty. I think Johnson shoulders some of the blame, playing him out of position at a young age to accommodate Wilkinson in 2009.
Have you figured out a way to clone Paul Grayson yet? It might be a worthwhile investment.

They managed that 15 years ago and named him "Jonny Wilkinson".

If I was Jim Mallinder, I'd be after George Ford...

If I was pretty much any coach in the Prem, I'd be after George Ford.
Wasn't he off to Toulouse? ;)

 Touche.

I just particularly want to see Cockerill's face on finding out that signing, and more than any team at the business end of the table, Northampton need a fly-half to take them that next step.

................or the Top 14 or the Rabo........................
