Ahh it was a funny old game really. Lots of tension before the match, everyone expecting a close one, and perpignan didnt really turn up (or werent allowed to turn up).

When games turn that quickly, and that easily the atmosphere always goes funny.

If poite is reffing there won't be any scrums. So I wouldn't be happy if I supported the saints.

:p he was just told he can't insult or disrespect people on the board so i'm guessing it applies to everyone right? Leinster are looking very good at the moment but in the final stages teams tend to play tight so whomever has the bigger and stronger pack will have a big advantage. Leinster have shown to be a solid unit and strong in the loose but i'm still weary that Northampton may bully them off the ball. i regret betting all my vcash now.

Is Poite the referee yeah? Oh dear, doesn't look good for Saints now! I suppose Brian 'Not the Beast' Mujati wont have time to cheat.....
Having not lost a match yet, and being such a young team, I feel that Northampton could lose their cool if things aren't going their way.
I'd also expect the likes of Foden and Ashton to crack under the pressure, just like they did for England in the final 6N game against Ireland.
this is all of course, if history tells!

@dangandan. hmm, I don't think Leinster will play the tight game for too long. They've learned from the Leicester and Toulouse matches that they have to
run the opposition around the field, Kick the points and keep the discipline.
I said this before, I really don't think the Scrums will play a huge role... The team with the better performing 6,7,8,9,10 will Win the game!

Poite catch a cheat? When did that happen. He hasnt a clue what goes on in the scrum.

Poite is a poor referee for both sides. Shouldnt be anywhere near the game. Berdo please.

He's a pigdog seisnach collaborator.

haha, you make me laugh, every time!!!

Mujati drops the shoulder, and turns into the scrum almost every time.
Tonga'uiha does it too, and he also uses his binding hand to push his opposite player up or back into the scrum.
its all very illegal!!

Did you see how well Poite managed Periguini in the Italy vs Ireland game just gone.

Binding was optional and driving his opposite number up and out of the scrum was perfectly legal. Ireland actually lodged a formal complaint after, it was so bad.

Your faith in Poite as a scrummaging referee is missplaced. If I was a Saints fan I'd be openly rejoicing his selection. A real leveller.

Got any video evidence?

I believe we call this "Getting your excuses in early" :p

If Romain Poite allows illegal scrummaging, why don't Leinster also plays by the rules he sets down on the day?

I've no major problem with Poite or any other referee. He does his best but there are flaws in how he referees games. The standard of refereeing in general is shite though. If Poite is seen as the best available, it only serves to highlight this. Personally I'd prefer if Wayne Barnes (despite hailing from the same country as Northampton), Nigel Owens (despite not being as good as he was a few years ago) or Jerome Garces was given the final gig

@logorrghea. I was being Sarcastic...

Got any video evidence?

No one has Videos of scrums on youtube......
But if your very very bored one weekend and theres no Magners League on, Watch some Aviva Premiership. at your own discretion of course!
apparently its light years ahead of our little 'league'. so says Dewi Morris.

Yeah. Listen to Morris. The pigdog Seisnach all stick together.

Oppressive ********.

Poite may be inept but he's not biased. If Tonga'huia is getting away with something, I'm sure Healy would get away with the same thing. Likewise if Ross and Healy are pulling strokes in the scrum, Mujati and Tonga'huia would be stupid if they didn't do the same to try force an advantage.
