Just got back from Clermont, what an atmosphere but the last 10 mins were so quite from the Clermont fans.
I have to say I didn't expect a Tigers win but the boys did us proud, some dodgy calls from the ref but when you give a 16-0 lead to Clermont at Clermont you cant expect to win really.
Thought Mulipola (in the loose), Slater, Gibson Crane had very good games.
Tait, Scully and Williams were amazing.
Not blaming one player but Waldrom was stupid, that's the 3rd time he has come on and been YC in less than 10 mins of playing Mafi or Matera should of been given the bench spot.
Cockers has said he is bringing in a TH for next season for depth, Remember if Toulon and Castro hadn't of ****** us about we would have gotten are 1st/2nd/3rd choice TH replacement for him but the ******* about meant we got Schuster who has done nothing all season. But with Rizzo already coming in and Mulipola improving at TH and would be a monstrous impact sub. I think the front row next season will look like this barring Injurys.
1, Ayerza
2, Ghiraldini/Youngs
3, Cole
Bench
16, Youngs/Ghiraldini
17, Rizzo
18, Mulipola
That is some good depth.
I mean with Peace (Rotherham beast of an 8 former league player is 6,4 and 120KG I think raw as a player but has loads of talent) and Barbieri (Italy back up 8) coming in we look solid in the pack. also think Kitchener will take Parling spot next season if he can get a good amount of game time.
Would love to see a European cup team next year of.
