Looks like this one is the only one I'm getting live. Missed most of the beginning of the match, but that was a great end to the half, and a smart try by the Scarlets right at the end. Not committed to either team so not rooting for either - just hope the one who puts in the best performance gets the reward in the end.

Decent game. would have been about 50-14 last year.
The amount of off the ball stuff by Scarlets, Liam Williams especially, was pathetic.

He seems do off the ball stuff every match. It's like he wants to make the Greco Roman Wrestling team for Wales at the Commonwealth Games or something. He has seemed to get away with it most times I have seen him do it, but he needs to stop as sooner or later he will concede a needless, preventable yellow card/penalty that could cost his side dearly.

To be fair to him that last one, if intentional, was class. :D
Yeah I saw him having goes at Boss, Reddan, O'Driscoll and then D'Arcy at the end. It's a bit ridiculous because he is quite a good player who doesn't need to be doing it.

Nah, screw it, it's part of what makes him the player he is. He's just a nut case, and I for one like to see it. Yes he needs to keep it under wraps, but I see no problem if he does this. People would say the same thing about JPR nowadays, but it was part of what made him so awesome.

Duck, nothing in the second one, and the last one was Dirksen lifting Williams, although once his feet are in the air, he seems to throw his weight around. The first one was a little silly, but was provoked somewhat.

If he can sort out his aerial game then he will be a good asset to the Scarlets and Wales. Btw, has anyone noticed his bowed legs? They are quite pronounced.

A better ref would have binned him today though. I reckon D'Arcy was telling what a little **** he was at the end, he really was a gobshite out of his depth today and he answered by swinging out at players. Looking back I also spotted him pulling at Fitzgeralds neck looking back on the game, which is disgraceful as he clearly targeted Fitz coming back from a neck injury prior to the match.

I'd love to see him up against Leicester or Munster in the HEC and he'd get the stuffing knocked out of him.

Bowed legs and a weasel face on him as well. :D

Nah, it makes him look a bit of a petulant prat at times and could cost him in future. Plus I just included his grappling moves, he also does a load of cheap shots every match as well. Such as the needless late knee on Dirksen shown below. Also there is something in him headlocking Grabham onto the floor, he could have given away a needless penalty. Nothing wrong with showing heart and commitment like him, but no need to do anything that could be potentially penalised needlessly.

Just his aerial game he needs to sort out? He always shows plenty of guts and commitment and heart every match, but seems to be lacking in the skills/talent department. He's brave in defence (see New Zealand game), but he's nothing special at all in attack and he needs to improve that. I suspect if you compared the amount of clean breaks made by Fussell this season to Liam Williams, Fussell would have made considerably more.

Sliding in late with the knee is a gripe of mine, and it is seen all of the time in rugby. I remember an obvious one on Jon Davies after scoring against Ireland last year. So whilst it is a possible cheap shot, it is a little unfair to just single out Liam Williams. I still don't mind someone who plays on the edge, we'll have to wait and see if it gets him in trouble in the future. He can look after himself though, so I'm not worried about him winding people up. Cmac, I was watching the game off a poor quality feed, and doing work at the same time so I missed his cheap shots. All I saw was him and D'Arcy head to head towards the end. It's a bit much to suggest he targeted Fitzgerald's head/neck though, there is little evidence of that.

As for his attacking. He's struggled lately, but at the beginning of the season he was quite a bright spark in the Scarlets backline. Was it 2 or 3 man of the matches he had in a row? But as with the rest of the Scarlets backline, they have lost their way as they haven't got a platform to play off. Fussell has one of the best forward packs in Europe in front of him, and that matters. But I still agree with you that Fussell is the more dangerous attacking player at this point in time and I'd have him in front of Liam Williams in the Wales pecking order, but Howley and Gatland don't seem to have Fussell in their radar.
